I am a qualified, person-centred, integrative counsellor. This means I believe that you are the expert in your personal world and that deep down you know what's best for you (though you may not think it at the moment). In sessions led by you, I offer a therapy tailored for you, using aspects of different therapies that I think will be most beneficial to you and result in the best outcomes.
I can help you explore difficult, distressing issues, things that are affecting your daily life, that may have happened in the past, are happening now or anxieties about what might happen, things that are difficult to come to terms with that continue to affect how you live your life and are getting in the way. I can work with you to make sense of loss, deal with stress and low mood, thoughts that affect how you feel and act, narrowing your outlook on life and meaning you are not being yourself.
My aim is to help you begin or continue your journey of towards healing, by gaining understanding, reconnecting with your authentic self (doing things that feel right for you), building resilience for life's complexities, learning and using the tools necessary to be able to thrive, by listening and hearing you as you reflect on things you don't want to bother your friends or family with (or may not have told anyone else) without judgement and in acceptance.
