About me and my therapy practice
Are you looking for something to change in your life or seeking support for one of your children that is struggling?
I approach counselling with a belief that all children, young people, and young adults have the potential to make positive change for themselves and the world around them.
I completed my Masters in Counselling while living in the USA and worked in schools and private practice as a Licensed Mental Health Counsellor and Nationally Certified Counsellor.
I adapt my integrative approach to the client including strength-based counselling, positive person-centered talk therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy techniques to support personal growth while I help to guide the way. I believe counseling has the power to change the direction of your life, by developing techniques, skills and perspective that builds confidence and creates social emotional growth that lasts a lifetime.
Practice description
With perseverance, kindness, and patience I create an environment where clients can feel safe to learn, explore and grow intellectually and emotionally. You can expect a counselling relationship that provides an unconditional support to help you learn, grow in confidence, confront challenges, and explore choices that move you forward to achieve your goals.
My passion is to work with children, teens, and young adults to help them manage the stresses and strains of their home, school, university, or work lives, with the goal of making each day a little easier. I follow your lead and our work can be colourful and fun if needed, full of games, books, music. Sometimes we walk and talk and get outside. The pause and the breath of fresh air you need.
I see clients online from the comfort and flexibility of home, or in person in our calm and safe therapy space in Marlow, Bucks.
My first session
Our first session is a gentle introduction, led by you. There’s no expectation or pressure—just space to arrive, begin to feel comfortable, and slowly build trust as we get to know each other. Whether meeting in person or online the counselling will go at your pace, aligned with your goals and aspirations for what you want to get out of counselling.
To start the process get in touch and we can set up a free 15 minute consultation to discuss your needs and any questions on the phone. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
