I have availability both online via video and telephone where I can offer lots of flexibility.

About me and my therapy practice
I am a psychotherapist and counsellor. I am passionate that my clients feel heard and respected during our sessions together.
As a therapist I endeavour to make sure that as my client you feel comfortable, safe, no judgment felt and you feel empathy.
My therapy approach is mainly person centred however I will sometimes use other models such as cognitive behavioural therapy and creative therapy depending on what feels best for you. Whichever model of therapy we may use my approach will be warm, gentle and I will go at a pace right for you.
I have worked with many clients whom have presented lots of different issues. My expertise is working with:
Grief and loss
Depression and anxiety
Relationship issues
Low self esteem
I understand how hard it can be to find a therapist which is right for you and it is important that you do find a therapist that you feel comfortable with. With this in mind I offer a 30 minute free consult so that you have the chance to ask me any questions that you may have and to make sure that you feel I am a good fit for you.
Practice description
After you have made contact in regards to working with me or booked a 30 minute consult I will make sure that I promptly answer any questions that you may have in order to put you at ease with starting therapy with me.
After our consult we will book in our first session which will either be online through video or telephone or face to face if you are local to me. I know how tricky life can be with fitting things in so I offer flexibility when booking your sessions.
I will begin our therapy sessions with a person centred approach so that we can become comfortable with each other, get to know each other and build our therapeutic relationship. From here we will then look at which method of therapy may work best once we have discussed the issues you have brought to therapy.
Therapy will continue to go at a pace that is right for you. We may bring in some art therapy, creative therapy, CBT or other therapies that may suit the issues you are facing best and feel right for you. This will be discussed with you beforehand so that you are fully aware and any questions you may have will be answered. Any therapies that we may use we will only carry out if you feel comfortable in doing so.
There is no limit to the amount of sessions you may have with me however around session 6 I will carry out a review with you. This review is a way to check in with how therapy is going for you, the progress made so far and to discuss the next steps during our therapy together.
We will continue with therapy, reviewing when needed until you feel you are ready to finish therapy. We will discuss any next steps you may wish to talk over during our last session. This part is important to make sure that you feel ready to end our therapy together and comfortable going forward.
My first session
I offer a free 30 minute consult before our first session so that you can ask any questions you may have for me and to make sure that I am a good fit for you.
Once you decide to book your first session with me I will email you a contract to read and sign, this can be signed before our first session or signed during our first session.
Accompanying the above email I will send a short assessment form to be completed.
During the first session we will go over any questions you may have from the contract. We will then spend the session discussing the reasons why you would like to start therapy and what you would like to talk about.
During this session I will go at your pace, giving you time to talk about what is on your mind and any questions you may want to ask about our therapy sessions.
At the end of the session we will spend some time checking in with how the session has gone for you, making sure you feel emotionally grounded before we end the session. We may briefly discuss what you may want to talk about in the following session if needed as well as booking our next session together.
