About me and my therapy practice

I have experience counselling both adults & young people who have come to counselling for a variety of reasons. 

I offer a gentle, safe, non-judgmental & confidential space for you to explore & process personal experiences & feelings, allowing you time to explore & express yourself in a way that feels right and is well-paced for you.

Person Centred Therapeutic Counselling can offer you the space to explore current / historical experiences with self-compassion to develop a deeper personal understanding of yourself, moving towards a felt sense of stability, healing & well-being.   

I have experience of supporting adults and young people who have come to counselling to explore the following concerns: anxiety, panic attacks, stress, self harm, trauma, abuse, grief, loss, divorce, domestic abuse, relationship issues, living with neurodiversity, school or employment-based trauma, health related issues, self-discovery / sexuality / identity issues & friendship/family relationship concerns. 

Practice description

I offer a gentle, safe, non-judgmental & confidential space for you to explore & process personal experiences & feelings, allowing you time & safety to delve into emotions & express yourself in a way that feels right and is well-paced for you. 

I will listen deeply to you & offer thoughtful responses to gain an understanding of how it is to be in your shoes, and to help you find a way through for yourself.

I provide a grounded, open and honest therapeutic space, exploring your issues and experiences with positive regard for you always. Offering gentle challenge and re-framing should this be helpful to you.  

In a person centred manner if you feel it might be helpful I can offer space for creative expression, calming / mindful / breathing activities that can support nervous system regulation which in turn supports a calm space to explore anything you wish to bring into therapy.


My first session

Here I can outline the counselling process for you. You can ask any questions & consider if counselling with me would support your current issues, needs & goals.   

If you decide to continue with counselling we will spend the first session outlining a contract for our work together so counselling feels both safe & supportive and suits your needs. 

You can then begin to explore anything you feel you need to in the first session & beyond.
