About me and my therapy practice

Making the decision to seek out a therapist is hard. Finding the right therapist can feel even harder. So, perhaps I can start by letting you how I work to help you decide if we could be a good fit for each other.

I believe that feeling genuinely heard, understood, respected and accepted is at the heart of meaningful therapy. I offer a warm, compassionate and safe space where you can bring whatever you are experiencing, exactly as you are. I believe the connection between you and I is at the core of the therapy.

Starting therapy can feel daunting, particularly when you are sharing parts of yourself that you may not have ever spoken about before. My hope is that together we can build a therapeutic bond where you feel comfortable enough to be open, curious and explore what is happening for you, at your own pace.

Our work together can be for a shorter period or over a longer term, depending on what feels right for you. There is no expectation that you need to have these answers before we begin. We can take the time to understand what has brought you to therapy and what you would like to explore.

I offer in-person counselling for adults in North West London, including Hampstead, West Hampstead, Marylebone and King's Cross, as well as Soho and London Bridge. I also offer online sessions.

If you would like to get a feel for whether we might work well together, I offer a free 30-minute video or telephone call. It is an opportunity to talk a little about what you are looking for, ask any questions you may have, and simply see how it feels to connect with me.

Practice description

I have experience supporting adults through a range of challenges, including trauma, sexual abuse, adoption, grief, depression, anxiety and domestic abuse. These areas are among my specialisms, but I recognise that every person and every story is different. You are the expert on your own life, and our work together can follow whatever feels most meaningful and helpful to you.

With you at the heart of the work, I place huge importance on the connection we build together. I believe therapy is not simply about having someone listen to you, but about having someone walk alongside you, listening with empathy, helping you make sense of what you are experiencing, and offering a different perspective when it feels helpful.

My first session

As I offer a free 30 minute online introductory session.  We can use this time to explore what brings you to therapy and see if we are a nice fit for the work you are looking for.

This first session will be at your own pace so we can start to build a connection from the very beginning.
