About me and my therapy practice
Many people come to therapy because something in life feels difficult, confusing, or overwhelming. You might be experiencing anxiety, low mood, grief, relationship challenges, or a sense of being stuck. At times like these, having a supportive and confidential space to talk can make a meaningful difference.
Therapy offers an opportunity to explore what may be happening beneath the surface of everyday life. It can help bring greater awareness to thoughts, emotions and patterns of behaviour that may be influencing how you experience yourself and others. Through this process, many people begin to develop new understanding, self-compassion and different ways of responding to the challenges they face.
My approach is collaborative and shaped around the individual needs of each person I work with. I aim to create a safe and respectful space where you can speak openly about whatever feels important, without pressure or judgement. Together we can explore your experiences at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
As an integrative therapist, I draw on a range of therapeutic perspectives. My work is grounded in person-centred principles, which emphasise empathy, acceptance and a genuine interest in each person’s experiences. Alongside this foundation, I use various techniques to best suit your needs, which can feel helpful, particularly when looking at how past experiences, identity and life’s circumstances may influence the present.
I work with adults who are experiencing a variety of challenges including anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, work-related stress, neurodiversity and life transitions. Some people come to therapy with a specific issue they would like to address, while others seek a deeper understanding of themselves and their emotional world.
Practice description
My practice is based in Summertown Oxford, offering a warm and confidential space.
Sessions are 50 minutes long and held weekly at a regular time and I recommend we meet for an initial 6 weeks to see how things unfold. I offer both face-to-face and online therapy (via Google Meet).
Your privacy is paramount; my practice is GDPR-compliant and adheres to BACP confidentiality guidelines.
I ask for 72 hours' notice for cancellations, and payments are accepted by transfer 24 hours' before each session or cash on the day.
Please do contact me if you have any questions and to get a sense of how I work.
My first session
I understand that a first session can feel daunting, so I focus on creating a warm, safe environment where you can feel at ease. Together, we’ll explore your story and what has led you to therapy at this time - looking at your relationships, your goals, and your unique strengths.
My approach is rooted in warmth and compassion, balanced with a gently challenging perspective. I won’t tell you how to live your life; instead, I provide the reflections needed to uncover new insights and move beyond existing patterns, empowering you to create the change you’re looking for.
