About me and my therapy practice
Are you looking for someone to really hear and understand you?
You might not be sure what you need but feel stuck and want things to change in your life. You might be trying to navigate a difficult time or transition in your life around relationships, identity, health, work or bereavement. You may be considering counselling for the first time or perhaps looking for a new therapist.
As your counsellor, I'd be committed to offering you a supportive and safe space where you can explore what might be troubling you; whether that's exploring difficulties rooted in the past that are impacting you day to day or a current issue that might be on your mind.
Your emotions and experiences are the focus of our sessions. I will listen without judgement or agenda and endeavour to understand the world as you see it. I do this by building an open, trusting, authentic relationship so that you feel seen and heard. It's my belief that this helps you to see and understand yourself better, make sense of your past, heal emotional wounds and foster healthier relationships with yourself and others.
Practice description
I have an Integrative approach which means that I bring a range of ways of working; reflecting on the past, noticing the here and now and exploring what the future might look like. I can also incorporate creative tools into our sessions to help express emotions and experiences that might be more difficult to verbalise.
Prior to becoming a qualified counsellor, my career was in teaching and wellbeing support which has instilled a curiosity and openness in my work as well as a strong belief and hope for inclusion and connection in our society- with each other and ourselves. I have counselling experience with adults and young people experiencing anxiety, depression, bereavement, relationship issues, life-limiting illnesses and identity crises as well as individuals navigating an ADHD/Autism diagnosis.
My first session
I can offer online or in person appointments based in the Wooburn Green, Beaconsfield area. Sessions are priced at £65.
I offer a free 15 minute telephone consultation for clients to ask any questions, get a sense of how I work and decide whether counselling with me feels like a good fit.
I also offer concessionary rates to students and clients who are claiming benefits.
