About me and my therapy practice
Feeling overwhelmed, stuck in unhelpful patterns, or facing a major life transition? I am an integrative counsellor with extensive experience supporting people through mental health difficulties, bereavement, and life challenges. I offer a warm, compassionate space where you can begin to understand what is happening, reconnect with yourself, and create space for greater self-understanding, connection, and meaningful change.
When you are struggling with anxiety, deep loss, or feeling overwhelmed by life's demands, it can feel as though you are standing in front of a huge and difficult mountain — unsure where to begin or how to move forward.
You may feel frozen, exhausted from trying to hold everything together, or disconnected from yourself and the things that once mattered to you.
I offer a warm, collaborative and accepting space where we can gently explore what you are carrying. Together, we can slow things down, make sense of what is happening beneath the surface, and develop a more compassionate understanding of yourself and your experiences.
Developing self-compassion can be an important part of learning to relate differently to yourself, recognise your strengths, and create meaningful change.
Practice description
My approach is grounded in humanistic values and informed by psychodynamic thinking. This means I adapt therapy to your individual experiences while gently exploring how your past may be influencing your present.
Studying for my master’s degree in health psychology deepened my understanding of the close relationship between emotional wellbeing, physical experience, and health.
Alongside my private practice, I have supported people across mental health, bereavement, healthcare and educational settings, including:
Bereavement Support Charity: Supporting individuals through grief, loss, and the many emotional challenges that bereavement can bring.
Mental Health Charity: Supporting adults experiencing anxiety, depression, reduced confidence, and periods of significant emotional distress.
University Counselling and Specialist Mental Health Mentoring: Supporting students, academics and professional staff to manage pressure, burnout, perfectionism, and demanding life circumstances.
Midlife Transitions & Identity: Supporting women navigating the profound physical and emotional shifts of menopause or adjusting to a late-in-life neurodiversity diagnosis (such as ADHD), helping them rebuild self-compassion and reclaim their personal agency.
