Practice description
My Approach
My work is integrative and trauma-informed. With over 20 years of experience in yoga and mindfulness, I gently bridge traditional talking therapy with a deepening of body awareness and nervous system regulation.
My therapeutic work combines relational counselling, trauma-informed practice and body awareness practices. I may incorporate guided imagery, dream exploration and breath-based techniques to support deeper access to the unconscious when appropriate. I work with Mindfulness to help clients develop a more self-aware relationship with their thoughts and emotions.
My approach is grounded, always collaborative and responsive to each individual.
The Therapeutic Relationship
The therapeutic relationship is central to how I work. I believe trust and attunement are essential conditions for meaningful work to take place.
I work relationally, paying close attention to how you experience the therapeutic space and our connection. My role is not to fix or direct, but to support your enquiry and exploration.
I aim to provide a stable and containing presence, particularly when addressing complex or emotionally charged material. Client autonomy and paced exploration guide the therapeutic process.
Creative and Experiential Approaches
Where it feels helpful and appropriate, I may integrate creative or experiential methods such as chair work or guided imagery. These approaches are always introduced collaboratively and remain optional.
Aim of Counselling
I offer a space to understand your unique story, recognise recurring patterns and reconnect with your inner resources. Therapy is not about becoming someone different, but about relating to yourself with more understanding and self-trust, so that your decisions feel conscious, authentic and aligned with what truly matters to you.

My first session
Our first session is an opportunity for us to meet and begin forming a sense of how we might work together. We’ll explore what has led you to seek therapy at this point in your life and what you would like support with. There is no expectation to share everything straight away — the focus is on starting gently and creating a sense of safety.
I will ask some questions about your history, current circumstances and what feels most pressing for you. Together, we’ll consider what you would like to prioritise and how we can approach the work in a way that feels steady and supportive.
You are also welcome to raise any questions about confidentiality, the therapeutic process, or how I work. This session is as much about you getting a feel for me as it is about me understanding you.
By the end of our meeting, you should have a clearer idea of what working together would look like and whether you would like to move forward.
