About me and my therapy practice

Being human is complicated. Our experiences shape us, relationships can challenge us, and sometimes the ways we learn to cope no longer serve us well. We can find ourselves stuck in familiar patterns, struggling with conflicting feelings or trying to make sense of things we never expected to face.

I’m a BACP-registered counsellor with a First Class degree in Counselling and Pluralistic Practice. I offer a space to explore what’s going on for you, make sense of your experiences and consider things from a different perspective, without judgement or pressure to have all the answers.

My approach is relational, trauma-informed and pluralistic. I’m interested in understanding you as a person, including the experiences and relationships that have shaped you. I believe counselling should be a collaborative process, and that there is no single approach that works for everyone. I draw on different therapeutic ideas and approaches, adapting our work to what feels helpful and meaningful to you.

I have experience supporting people affected by trauma and sexual violence, as well as those navigating difficult relationships, anxiety, emotional distress, and significant life changes. I’m particularly interested in how our experiences influence the way we see ourselves and others, and how patterns that once helped us cope can sometimes leave us feeling stuck.

You don’t need to arrive with a clear goal or know exactly where to begin. We can start wherever you are and work together to explore what matters to you, at a pace that feels right. I aim to help you develop a deeper understanding of yourself and your experiences, and find a way forward that feels right for you.
