About me and my therapy practice

Are you feeling anxious, overwhelmed, stuck or simply not yourself?

Perhaps you are struggling with anxiety, low confidence, difficult relationships or emotions that feel difficult to manage. Maybe your mind never seems to switch off, you find yourself overthinking everything, or you keep repeating patterns that you don't understand.

Sometimes we can feel unhappy or overwhelmed without really knowing why. You may even find yourself thinking, “I should be able to cope with this, so why can't I?”

A little about me

I am a Qualified Integrative Counsellor and MBACP member. I offer a warm, supportive and non-judgemental space where you can talk openly about whatever is going on for you.

Having experienced anxiety myself, I understand how overwhelming it can feel when your thoughts become difficult to switch off, when you constantly worry about things, or when anxiety starts to affect everyday life. I also understand how difficult it can be to take that first step and ask for support.

My personal experience is alongside my professional training and experience, and I recognise that everyone's experience of anxiety and emotional difficulties is different.

My experience

Alongside my private practice experience, I have worked within addiction rehabilitation, providing individual support and counselling and facilitating groups. I have also worked within school settings, supporting children with additional needs.

I have a particular interest in anxiety and the ways it can affect our thoughts, confidence, relationships and everyday lives.

Where I work

I offer counselling in Enfield Town, Whetstone and online.

I currently have appointments available in person during the daytime, as well as online appointments during the day and evenings.

Practice description

How I work

I don't believe that one approach works for everyone. I follow you and what you need from our work together.

We can start with whatever feels most important to you. Perhaps there is something happening in your life right now that you are finding difficult, or perhaps you have been carrying something for a long time.

I will be there to listen to you and support you emotionally, without judgement and without telling you what you should or shouldn't do.

Where it feels helpful, we can gently explore your past and consider whether earlier experiences, relationships or events may be connected to how you feel today. Sometimes experiences from the past can shape the way we see ourselves, our relationships and the world around us without us even realising it.

Together, we can begin to notice these connections and patterns and explore whether there are different ways of understanding yourself and responding to situations.

You will never be pushed to talk about something before you are ready. We work at your pace, and you remain in control of what you want to explore.

You don't have to know exactly what's wrong

You may know that you don't feel like yourself, but not know exactly what you need help with. That's okay.

You don't need to arrive with a clear explanation or a list of things you want to change. We can take the time to understand what is happening for you and work it out together.

My aim is to provide a space where you feel heard, understood and accepted, so that you don't have to face everything on your own.

My first session

My First Session

You don't have to have all the answers before you reach out. You don't need to know exactly what you want from counselling or have a clear explanation of what is wrong.

Your first session is an opportunity for us to talk about what has brought you to counselling and what you would like support with. You can ask any questions you may have and get a feel for whether counselling feels right for you.

We can start with where you are and take things at your own pace. You will never be pushed to talk about something before you are ready.

If something in what I've written feels familiar to you, please get in touch. Sometimes the first step is simply having someone to talk to.

About me and my therapy practice

I am an integrative therapist specialising in anxiety, overthinking, stress, and recovery. I support clients who feel overwhelmed, emotionally stuck, or affected by past experiences that continue to impact their daily lives.

My approach combines understanding and practical support, helping clients make sense of their difficulties while developing healthier ways to cope and move forward.

Alongside my professional training, I also understand personally how anxiety can affect everyday life. Having worked through anxiety myself, I know how overwhelming it can feel, but I also know that change is possible. This allows me to offer therapy with both professional knowledge and genuine empathy.

My aim is to provide a supportive, non-judgemental space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to create meaningful change.

Practice description

Many people come to therapy feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, stress, overthinking, low confidence, or difficult past experiences. Therapy can help you better understand these patterns, manage emotions more effectively, and feel more in control of your life.

I offer a calm, supportive, and collaborative space where therapy is tailored to your individual needs. Some clients benefit from deeper reflection and understanding, while others prefer more practical strategies and structured support. Often, therapy involves a balance of both.

Sessions are available online, making therapy accessible and flexible around your daily life.

My first session

Your first session is an opportunity for us to explore what has brought you to therapy and what support you are looking for. We will talk about your current difficulties, any goals you may have, and the areas of your life you would like to better understand or improve.

Many people feel nervous before starting therapy, especially if it is their first experience, which is completely natural. There is no pressure to share everything at once, and we will work at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

Online sessions are simple and easy to access. As long as you have a device with a camera, such as a phone, tablet, iPad, or laptop, you can attend sessions from your own space. On the morning of your appointment, I will email you a secure link for the session. There is no need to download any software or use complicated systems, simply click the link when your session begins.

The first session is also a chance for you to ask questions, get a sense of how I work, and decide whether therapy with me feels like the right fit for you.
