About me and my therapy practice

Welcome. I’m glad you’re taking the first step towards talking about how you feel. Beginning therapy is a big decision. Whatever’s troubling you, perhaps I can help.

I work with people facing all sorts of challenges. Maybe you're feeling depressed and you don't know why. Maybe anxiety has you going in circles. Or maybe something from your past keeps re-emerging and replaying itself. Whatever it is, together we will figure out what's happening for you, and from there, what you want to do about it.

Practice description

I am a fully-qualified integrative practitioner, which means that I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches and tailor them to you. My goal is to gently help you get to the heart of things in a safe, warm and supportive manner.

Our work might involve us exploring your past experiences and relationships, and the ways in which they have shaped who you are today. We might look at the different parts of yourself which coexist within you. Or we might explore our own relationship and consider how it reflects your experiences outside our sessions - and what we can learn from that.

Every client teaches me something new. Over recent years, I have worked with people navigating a broad range of issues, including depression, stress, anxiety, trauma, addiction, performance anxiety, domestic violence, and childhood sexual abuse. Whatever brings you to therapy, I will meet you with empathy and respect.

I trained at The Minster Centre in London, one of Europe's leading integrative counselling and psychotherapy training institutions.

I offer therapy both online and face to face from my consulting room in Letchworth.

My first session

After you make contact, I offer an initial fifteen minute phone call. This is a no-obligation opportunity to ask any questions you might have.

Should you decide to proceed we will then schedule our first full session. Here I will walk you through some practicalities, before allowing you as much of the remaining time as possible to tell your story, what's brought you to therapy and what you hope to gain from the experience. At the end we will discuss how you're feeling and whether you would like us to continue.

Every therapist out there is different and it's important to find the 'right fit'. Remember: it's your space, and you deserve to work with somebody with whom you feel you can be honest and safe.
