About me and my therapy practice

I offer a warm, compassionate and non-judgemental online space where you can talk openly about whatever is troubling you. As a person-centred counsellor, I believe that you are the expert on your own life. My role is not to tell you what to do or offer advice, but to listen with empathy, acceptance and understanding, helping you explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace.

I understand that reaching out for counselling can feel daunting, so I aim to build a trusting therapeutic relationship where you feel safe, heard and valued. Together, we can explore the challenges you are facing, increase your self-awareness and help you find your own way forward.

I work with adults experiencing a range of issues, including anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, loss, life changes and family challenges. I also have a particular interest in supporting parents who are separated from their children or navigating complex family relationships.

I believe that every person has the capacity for growth and change when they are met with genuine understanding and acceptance. My aim is to support you in making sense of your experiences, discovering your own strengths and moving towards the life you want to live.

Practice description

Starting counselling can feel like a big step, and it's natural to feel uncertain or anxious about reaching out. My aim is to offer a welcoming, confidential and accepting online space where you can feel comfortable being yourself, without fear of judgement.

I work at your pace, recognising that everyone comes to counselling with their own unique experiences and needs. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, struggling with anxiety, navigating a significant life change, experiencing loss, or finding relationships difficult, we will work together to explore what is happening for you and what you need.

The counselling relationship is at the heart of my practice. I believe that when you feel genuinely heard, understood and accepted, it becomes easier to make sense of difficult emotions, gain new perspectives and move towards positive change.

I offer both short-term and longer-term counselling, depending on your individual needs and goals. If you're unsure whether counselling is right for you, I welcome an initial free, no-obligation conversation to answer any questions and help you decide whether I am the right counsellor for you.

My hope is that you leave each session feeling that someone has truly listened to you, perhaps in a way you haven't experienced before.

My first session

Following your initial contact, I will arrange for us to have a brief phone call, free of charge. This is so I can gain a brief overview of what you would like support with, and so you can ask any questions you may have about what our work together will look like. It is very important to find a counsellor who you feel comfortable with so you can get the most from your sessions, and this initial conversation between us is a good starting point. Should you decide I am not the counsellor for you after our initial chat, you are under no obligation to book a session with me.

Should you decide to proceed, all sessions will last for 50 minutes and be charged at £50 per session.
