About me and my therapy practice
I'm a Black British counsellor raised in South London, and my therapy journey grew from my own experiences of depression, addiction and feeling lost whilst searching for direction and meaning in my life. Those challenges shaped not only who I am, but how I sit with others today- with empathy, honesty and without judgement.
My practice is person-centred, which means I don’t see my role as fixing or solving you, but walking alongside you as you make sense of your own story. I aim to offer a safe, respectful space where you can feel heard, accepted, and free to be yourself.
I’m particularly mindful of how culture, race, identity, and life experiences can shape the way we move through the world. As someone who has often felt “othered” or unseen, I’m passionate about supporting people to reconnect with themselves, build self-acceptance, and find their own direction at their own pace.
Practice description
I offer a warm, down-to-earth counselling space where you can talk openly without fear of judgement. My approach is person-centred, which means we work at your pace and focus on what feels most important to you. I’m not here to fix or advise you, but to walk alongside you, helping you explore your thoughts and feelings and make sense of your experiences in your own way.
People often find me easy to talk to and grounded, and I aim to create a space where you feel safe, heard, and accepted. You’re welcome to bring whatever you’re carrying — whether that’s anxiety, low mood, identity questions, relationship struggles, or simply feeling stuck.
For now, most sessions take place online via Zoom for flexibility and comfort, with plans to offer face-to-face sessions in the near future.
My first session
We can set a time for an initial consultation. Please feel free to contact me via email or phone.
The first session is to set the boundaries and discuss how we can work together, as everyone has different reasons for therapy and what they wish to achieve from it.
This session is also a time for you to ask me any questions in relation to how I work, the therapeutic model I use, and to finalise payment details.
