About me and my therapy practice
I offer open-ended, psychodynamic therapy. This means that it will be a non-judgemental, non-pathologising space where your experiences are met with care, and where we can explore feelings of being stuck, unseen, or overwhelmed together.
As having worked with migrant, queer, racialised communities, we can work-through racial trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, and life transitions. My approach is intersectional, queer-affirming, and informed by intercultural and systemic perspectives. I hold in mind how wider social and historical contexts can shape our inner worlds, while also centring resilience, connection, and possibilities for (collective) healing.
Practice description
When we think and feel psychodynamically, it is an lens in which we will gently explore recurring patterns, including those that may sit outside of conscious awareness. Do you feel it in your ways of behaving, feeling or thinking? With embodied exercises we move at your pace, breathing and communicating freely on what you are going through - with care and curiosity, making space for what feels important to you.
My first session
We will have an initial assessment consisting of 50 minutes, in which we can work-through on what is important to you when embarking in this therapeutic journey and how we could create this space together. I will detail on how I work therapeutically and if it resonates with you. At the end of the assessment we will both decide if to move forward with the sessions.
