About me and my therapy practice

I work with adults and young people over 18 offering personalised and confidential support with stress, various anxiety disorders, depression, low mood, and low self-esteem.

I am a registered member of the BACP. Alongside supporting clients experiencing anxiety, depression and stress, I specialise in working with young adults to explore questions around identity, purpose, and the direction they want their lives to take. If you are struggling to find your path, to make meaningful decisions, or to build a life that feels authentic to you, we can work together to help you move forward with greater confidence and self-understanding.

Before qualifying as a counsellor, I worked in the legal field for many years and practised as a private client lawyer for more than a decade. My background has given me a real understanding of the pressures and expectations that can come with professional and corporate life and how this can affect wellbeing. I bring those insights into my counselling work to offer a supportive space for individuals managing the challenges of modern life.

Practice description

I am an integrative therapist, drawing on person-centred and psychodynamic theories to tailor my approach to meeting your needs as an individual.

Building a relationship of trust and understanding is central to our work together. I can offer you a confidential space where you can step away from the demands and expectations of your everyday life, reconnect with your authentic self and rediscover what matters most to you. I work with kindness, compassion and respect for your autonomy. My aim is to collaborate with you to understand the challenges you are facing and support you in finding greater clarity, confidence, and a path towards the life you want to create.

My first session

I offer an initial no-obligation 20-minute telephone consultation so we can explore what you are looking for and get a feel for working together.

Our first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and begin building a supportive therapeutic relationship. We will explore what has brought you to counselling, and discuss your current circumstances, hopes, and goals, and consider how we can work together in a way that best supports your needs. I will also explain how counselling works, answer any questions you may have, and ensure you feel comfortable and informed as we begin our work together.
