About me and my therapy practice

Counselling offers a space to explore what's really going on beneath those thoughts and feelings. Together, we can look at the patterns, experiences, and challenges that may be affecting your wellbeing and making life feel harder than it needs to be.

I have experience supporting clients with anxiety, overwhelm, stress, grief and loss, relationship difficulties, and the experience of being autistic or feeling misunderstood. My approach is calm, compassionate, and tailored to your individual needs. I believe that when we better understand ourselves, we can begin to make choices that feel more aligned with who we are and what we need.

Practice description

I understand that taking the first step towards counselling can feel daunting. My aim is to provide a calm, supportive, and confidential environment where you can explore your thoughts and feelings at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

As an integrative counsellor, I draw on different therapeutic approaches to meet your individual needs, recognising that every person's experiences and challenges are unique. I believe that a strong therapeutic relationship is at the heart of effective counselling and work collaboratively with clients to help them gain greater self-awareness, understanding, and confidence.

I work with clients experiencing a range of difficulties, including anxiety, overwhelm, stress, grief and loss, relationship challenges, low self-esteem, and life transitions. I also have experience supporting autistic clients and those who may feel misunderstood or struggle to feel accepted by others.

I recognise that everyone communicates differently. Some people, including autistic individuals and those experiencing anxiety or overwhelm, may find phone calls difficult or stressful. To make accessing support easier, I offer a text-based contact option for those who prefer written communication when making an initial enquiry.

I offer counselling both online and via telephone and provide a free 15-minute introductory conversation so that we can discuss your needs and decide whether working together feels right for you.

My first session

Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other in a relaxed and supportive environment. During this initial meeting, we will explore what has brought you to therapy, any difficulties you may be experiencing, and what you hope to gain from counselling.

The session also includes an initial assessment, where I may ask some questions about your background, current circumstances and emotional wellbeing. This helps me gain a better understanding of your needs and ensures that I can work safely and appropriately with you.

There is no pressure to share everything straight away. I understand that starting therapy can feel unfamiliar or daunting, and we will work at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

The first session is also a chance for you to ask any questions you may have about the counselling process and to get a sense of whether working together feels right for you.

About me and my therapy practice

My counselling practice is based on the belief that every person deserves to be heard, understood, and accepted as they are. I offer a confidential, compassionate, and non-judgemental environment where clients can explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences at a pace that feels right for them.

As an integrative counsellor, I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches, tailoring my work to meet each client's individual needs. I believe there is no "one size fits all" approach to counselling, and I work collaboratively with clients to help them gain greater self-awareness, understanding, and confidence in navigating life's challenges.

I have experience working with clients experiencing anxiety, stress, overwhelm, grief and loss, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, and life transitions. I also have experience supporting autistic clients and those who may feel misunderstood or find it difficult to express themselves.

Building a trusting therapeutic relationship is central to my practice. I aim to provide a calm and supportive space where clients feel able to explore difficult emotions, develop insight into their experiences, and work towards meaningful change.

I offer counselling both online and via telephone. Recognising that everyone communicates differently, I also offer a text-based contact option for those who find phone conversations difficult or prefer written communication when making an initial enquiry.

Practice description

My practice is built on the belief that counselling should be a collaborative and supportive process. I understand that seeking help can feel daunting, and I aim to offer a welcoming, confidential, and non-judgemental environment where you feel able to explore whatever is troubling you.

As an integrative counsellor, I recognise that every person is unique. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, I draw on different therapeutic theories and techniques to tailor counselling to your individual needs, experiences, and goals.

I believe that building a trusting therapeutic relationship is at the heart of effective counselling. By working together, we can explore the thoughts, feelings, and patterns that may be affecting your wellbeing, helping you gain a deeper understanding of yourself and develop ways of moving forward that feel meaningful and sustainable.

I work with adults experiencing a range of difficulties, including anxiety, stress, overwhelm, grief and loss, relationship challenges, low self-esteem, and life transitions. I also have experience supporting autistic clients and those who may feel misunderstood or find communication challenging.

I offer counselling both online and via telephone. Recognising that everyone communicates differently, I also provide a text-based contact option for those who prefer written communication or find telephone conversations difficult.

My first session

It is natural to feel nervous before your first counselling session. Many people are unsure what to expect or worry about saying the "right" thing.

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin exploring what has brought you to counselling. We will talk about what is currently happening in your life, any challenges you may be facing, and what you hope to gain from counselling. There is no pressure to share everything at once, and you are welcome to go at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

I will also explain how I work, discuss confidentiality and its limits, and answer any questions you may have about the counselling process. Together, we can consider what support might be most helpful for you and whether we feel like a good fit to work together.

The first session is as much an opportunity for you to decide whether counselling with me feels right as it is for me to understand your needs. My aim is to provide a calm, supportive, and welcoming environment where you can begin to explore whatever is on your mind.

About me and my therapy practice

Past experiences can continue to affect the way we think, feel and relate to ourselves and others. Sometimes these experiences can leave us feeling anxious, emotionally overwhelmed or stuck in unhelpful patterns.

I offer a safe, supportive and non-judgemental space where we can gently explore difficult experiences at a pace that feels comfortable for you. Building trust and emotional safety is central to the way I work.

I believe healing begins when we feel able to bring our experiences into a therapeutic relationship where we feel heard, understood and accepted.

Practice description

In our sessions, you can expect warmth, honesty and empathy. I will support you in exploring thoughts, feelings and patterns that may be impacting your wellbeing, while helping you develop greater self-awareness, resilience and understanding of yourself.

I work with sensitivity and respect, recognising the importance of trust within the therapeutic relationship. Whether you are experiencing anxiety, overwhelm, low self-esteem, emotional difficulties or navigating life changes, I aim to provide a space where all parts of you are welcome.

Therapy with me is not about judgement or giving advice, but about supporting you to feel heard, understood and empowered in your own process of healing and growth.
