About me and my therapy practice

I am a BACP registered counsellor with a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling. My experience spans 15 years working with children and young people with special educational needs, alongside extensive work in women-only spaces and community-based settings supporting men, women, and families from ethnically diverse backgrounds. My clinical experience encompasses abuse, trauma, relationship difficulties, suicidal ideation, and bereavement, offering support to people navigating some of life’s most painful and complex experiences.

I work using two therapeutic approaches. My person-centred approach focuses on creating a safe, compassionate, and non-judgemental space that is led by you.

My psychodynamic approach explores deeper patterns and past experiences that may be shaping how you feel, think, and relate to others.

Practice description

Sometimes life can feel like rippling water—unsettled, unclear, and constantly shifting beneath the surface. Together, we can understand where those ripples are coming from and create space for calmer, steadier waters that lead to lasting, positive change.

You might not have the words yet for how you’re feeling—and that’s okay. Whether things feel heavy, confusing, or simply “not quite right,” this is a space where you can explore whatever feels present for you, without pressure or expectation.

Our sessions are collaborative and guided by you. You are free to bring whatever feels important—your thoughts, feelings, memories, or even things you find difficult to put into words.

Through this process, you may begin to:

• Feel more grounded and less overwhelmed

• Understand yourself and your patterns more clearly

• Improve your relationships with others

• Build confidence and emotional resilience

• Feel more in control of your choices and direction

This is your space to pause, reflect, and reconnect with yourself.

My first session

In our first session, we will explore what has brought you to therapy and what you might be hoping for.

There is no pressure to share everything straight away—we will go at a pace that feels comfortable for you. From there, we can begin to shape our work together in a way that supports your individual needs.

Reaching out for support can feel like a big step, especially if you’re not used to putting yourself first. But you don’t have to navigate things alone.

If this resonates with you, let’s begin a conversation together.
