About me and my therapy practice

I offer a warm, accepting space where respect, autonomy, and your own way of being are at the centre.

I work in a person-centred way, which means I won’t analyse, direct, or interpret your experience, but instead aim to understand it as fully as I can from your perspective. My focus is on really listening - trying to get a sense of what it feels like to be you, and to meet you there with care and empathy.

I work in a neurodiversity-affirming way and welcome autistic, ADHD, AuDHD and dyslexic clients, as well as anyone exploring neurodivergence or questioning whether this may resonate for them. Alongside my professional experience, I also bring lived experience of neurodiversity.

Many people I work with have spent years feeling misunderstood, masking how they feel, or trying to cope in environments that haven’t quite fit them. Therapy can offer a space where you don’t have to perform, explain everything perfectly, or force yourself to fit expectations that feel exhausting or alienating.

I hold the belief that when we feel genuinely heard and accepted, something can begin to shift. At your own pace, and in your own way, it may become easier to make sense of things, reconnect with yourself, and hear your own voice a little more clearly.

This way of working can be helpful for many different experiences - whether you’re navigating overwhelm, burnout, anxiety, relationship difficulties, identity questions, a late discovery of neurodivergence, or simply a persistent feeling that something doesn’t feel quite right.

I offer counselling in Brighton & Hove and online.

Practice description

I offer counselling in Brighton & Hove and online for adults seeking a space to slow down, reflect, and feel more understood in themselves and their experiences.

My practice is grounded in the person-centred approach, which means I aim to offer a therapeutic relationship built on warmth, acceptance, empathy, and respect for your autonomy. Rather than directing or analysing you, I work alongside you at your pace, trusting that you are the expert on your own life.

I work in a neurodiversity-affirming way and welcome autistic, ADHD, AuDHD and dyslexic clients, as well as anyone exploring neurodivergence or struggling with the pressure to constantly mask or “hold it together”. You do not need a diagnosis to be welcome here.

People come to therapy for many different reasons. You may be feeling overwhelmed, anxious, stuck, disconnected, burnt out, navigating relationship difficulties, questioning your identity, processing difficult experiences, or simply sensing that something isn’t quite right.

I aim to offer a space where you can bring whatever is going on without fear of judgement or pressure to be a certain way. Together, we can gently explore your experiences and what feels important to you.

Alongside private practice, I have experience counselling within an NHS Primary Care Network and currently work as a counsellor at a low-cost counselling service in Sussex.

I also offer Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) and Matrix Reimprinting as optional standalone sessions or integrated into therapy where appropriate and wanted.

My first session

I offer a free initial 20-minute phone or online chat before beginning therapy. This gives us a chance to briefly talk about what’s bringing you to counselling, any questions you may have, and whether the way I work feels like the right fit for you.

There’s no pressure or expectation to commit after this conversation.

If we decide to work together, our first full session is an opportunity to begin exploring what feels important to you at your own pace. Some people arrive with a very clear sense of what they want to talk about, while others may simply know that something feels difficult or overwhelming. Both are completely welcome.

I do not ask clients to complete formal assessments or questionnaires before starting therapy, as I aim to keep the process as open, collaborative, and non-clinical as possible.

I understand that starting therapy can feel daunting, particularly if you are used to masking, feeling misunderstood, or worrying about “getting it right”. My hope is to offer a space where you can arrive as you are, without pressure to explain yourself perfectly.

About me and my therapy practice

I offer a warm, accepting and non-judgemental space where you can explore whatever is on your mind, at your own pace.

My approach is person-centred, which means I believe you are the expert on your own experience. I won’t direct or analyse you, but will work alongside you with care, curiosity and respect, helping you to better understand yourself and what you may be going through.

You might be coming with something specific, or simply a sense that things don’t feel quite right. I welcome both. Together we can gently explore your thoughts and feelings, making sense of patterns, relationships or experiences that may be difficult to hold alone.

I aim to offer a pressure-free space where you can feel heard, accepted and supported - just as you are. My practice is inclusive and affirming of neurodiversity, and I welcome clients with a wide range of ways of experiencing and relating to the world.

Practice description

I offer one-to-one counselling for adults in a calm, supportive and confidential setting.

Sessions are 50 minutes and usually take place weekly at the same time each week. I offer both in-person and online sessions. My standard fee is £60 per session, and I have a limited number of lower-cost spaces for those who need them depending on individual circumstances.

I work in a person-centred way, which means our sessions are led by you and what feels most important to bring. There is no pressure to arrive with a clear agenda - we can take things at your pace and in your own way.

My practice is inclusive and neurodiversity-affirming. I aim to adapt to your individual needs, whether that means working with silence, finding the right pace, or approaching things in a way that feels comfortable and manageable for you.

I offer both short-term and open-ended work. We can review how things are going together and decide what feels right for you.

My first session

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and it’s completely natural to feel unsure or a little anxious about a first session.

In our first meeting, we’ll take things at your pace. There’s no expectation to share everything all at once - you’re welcome to begin wherever feels most comfortable. We can talk a little about what has brought you to therapy, and what you might be hoping for, but there’s no pressure to have clear answers.

I’ll also explain how I work and give you space to ask any questions you may have. This is an opportunity for you to get a sense of whether working together feels right for you.

There's no obligation to continue after a first session - it's simply a space to see how it feels.

You're welcome to get in touch if you'd like to arrange a brief introductory call before booking a session.
