About me and my therapy practice

I offer a warm, accepting and non-judgemental space where you can explore whatever is on your mind, at your own pace.

My approach is person-centred, which means I believe you are the expert on your own experience. I won’t direct or analyse you, but will work alongside you with care, curiosity and respect, helping you to better understand yourself and what you may be going through.

You might be coming with something specific, or simply a sense that things don’t feel quite right. I welcome both. Together we can gently explore your thoughts and feelings, making sense of patterns, relationships or experiences that may be difficult to hold alone.

I aim to offer a pressure-free space where you can feel heard, accepted and supported - just as you are. My practice is inclusive and affirming of neurodiversity, and I welcome clients with a wide range of ways of experiencing and relating to the world.

Practice description

I offer one-to-one counselling for adults in a calm, supportive and confidential setting.

Sessions are 50 minutes and usually take place weekly at the same time each week. I offer both in-person and online sessions. My standard fee is £60 per session, and I have a limited number of lower-cost spaces for those who need them depending on individual circumstances.

I work in a person-centred way, which means our sessions are led by you and what feels most important to bring. There is no pressure to arrive with a clear agenda - we can take things at your pace and in your own way.

My practice is inclusive and neurodiversity-affirming. I aim to adapt to your individual needs, whether that means working with silence, finding the right pace, or approaching things in a way that feels comfortable and manageable for you.

I offer both short-term and open-ended work. We can review how things are going together and decide what feels right for you.

My first session

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and it’s completely natural to feel unsure or a little anxious about a first session.

In our first meeting, we’ll take things at your pace. There’s no expectation to share everything all at once - you’re welcome to begin wherever feels most comfortable. We can talk a little about what has brought you to therapy, and what you might be hoping for, but there’s no pressure to have clear answers.

I’ll also explain how I work and give you space to ask any questions you may have. This is an opportunity for you to get a sense of whether working together feels right for you.

There's no obligation to continue after a first session - it's simply a space to see how it feels.

You're welcome to get in touch if you'd like to arrange a brief introductory call before booking a session.
