About me and my therapy practice

You might be feeling stuck in recurring conflicts, unsure how to express what you need, or experiencing shame, self-doubt or disconnection. In our work together, we slow things down and explore what is happening beneath the surface.

I offer a reflective and supportive space for people who are struggling with emotional patterns that feel difficult to change,  relationships or communication.

My approach is person-centred, which means I work at your pace and focus on what feels most important to you. I integrate this with Nonviolent Communication and relational and somatic approaches, supporting you to develop greater awareness of your feelings, needs and patterns of relating.

I bring a combination of emotional attunement and clarity, helping you feel heard while also making sense of your experience in new ways.

I have a particular interest in how we navigate intimacy, vulnerability and conflict — both within ourselves and in our relationships.

Practice description

I aim to offer a calm, respectful and non-judgemental space where you can bring whatever is going on for you.

Clients often come to me with questions around relationships — with partners, family members or others — as well as struggles with self-worth, emotional overwhelm or patterns that keep repeating.

In our sessions, there is no pressure to have things figured out. We take time to explore your experience with curiosity and care, allowing deeper understanding to emerge.

Where helpful, I may gently support you in noticing patterns in how you relate to yourself and others, and in finding ways to express what matters to you more clearly.

My background in conflict facilitation and Nonviolent Communication means I am comfortable working with strong emotions, tension and complexity, and supporting people to stay with what is difficult without becoming overwhelmed.

My first session

I offer a free 20-minute introductory call where we can briefly talk about what brings you to counselling and see whether working together feels like a good fit.

In our first full session, we will begin by exploring what you would like support with and what feels most important for you at this time. There is no formal assessment process, and you are welcome to share as much or as little as feels comfortable.

You can also ask any questions about how I work, and we can talk about what you might hope to get from counselling.

Some people come with a clear focus, while others are unsure where to begin — both are very welcome.

My aim in the first session is to help you feel at ease and to begin building a sense of trust and understanding.
