About me and my therapy practice

"On the outside, you may appear to be coping well, but internally you may be feeling anxious, overwhelmed, disconnected or unsure why life feels harder than it should"

I'm Suki, as a qualified Psychodynamic Counsellor and registered member of the BACP (MBACP) I can provide you with a safe, calm, and non-judgemental space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences at your own pace. My approach focuses on understanding how past experiences, relationships and unconscious processes may be influencing your present life, helping you gain deeper insight into yourself and the challenges you face.

My therapeutic style is warm, authentic and compassionate. I believe that being truly heard within a trusting therapeutic relationship can be a powerful catalyst for change. Whether you are experiencing a specific difficulty or simply feeling that something is not quite right, I am here to listen and support you.

Based in Central London I offer, in-person, online and telephone therapy sessions.

I work in accordance with the BACP Ethical Framework, ensuring that therapy is delivered with professionalism, integrity and respect for your individual needs.

Practice description

Psychodynamic work involves looking at how your unconscious thoughts, past memories and early childhood experiences shape your current behaviour, emotions and relationships. So the focus is not on surface-level triggers or symptoms, this work looks at the root cause of your emotional distress. This type of therapy is deeply insightful and allows for self-reflection especially when working with defences.

I work with clients struggling with life transitions, including but not limited to loss, menopause or sexual identity. I have experience supporting adults with a range of difficulties including anxiety, depression, addiction, low self-esteem, neurodiversity-related challenges, relationship difficulties and a general sense of feeling stuck or unfulfilled.  Together we look at how these current issues are impacting your daily life.

My focus is to provide you with a safe, non-judgemental space where we can explore and unpack. This reflection and working with the unconscious communication within our alliance helps us explore the underlying causes of your distress and work towards a greater sense of clarity, resilience and emotional freedom.

I have a particular interest in working with professionals who may be balancing demanding careers, personal responsibilities and high expectations. Therapy with me offers a confidential space to step away from these pressures, reflect and reconnect with what matters the most to you.

My first session

Our first session will focus on understanding what brings you to therapy. I will conduct an initial assessment while providing space for you to ask questions and discuss what is impacting your daily life.

My goal is to help you feel at ease so we can build a supportive and containing therapeutic relationship.
