About me and my therapy practice
I work in a person centred way, always placing the client at the heart of our work together. I move at the client’s pace, ensuring they feel safe, comfortable, and supported within our therapeutic space.
I believe that everyone encounters moments of turmoil in their lives, and having the right person alongside you can make those challenges feel more manageable and less isolating.
Reaching out for support is often the hardest step. Choosing to speak with someone impartial—someone who will listen without judgment and help you make sense of what’s going on in your mind—is an incredibly brave decision. It marks the beginning of meaningful, positive change.
Practice description
I have experience supporting individuals through a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties, including anxiety, depression, grief, low self-esteem, and addiction.
I have trained in working with victims of domestic abuse and coercive control, and I bring a compassionate, person centred approach to this sensitive and complex area. I have also undertaken training in compassion focused therapy, particularly in helping clients understand and manage anger with kindness and self-awareness.
Alongside this, I have supported young people navigating bereavement, helping them make sense of their emotions during times of profound loss.
My practice includes working with neurodivergent adults as well as individuals across different ages and backgrounds. I aim to offer a safe, respectful, and non-judgmental space where each person feels heard, understood, and supported in their own unique journey.
I work from rented rooms in Christchurch, Dorset. I can also offer walk and talk therapy, at an agreed and safe space within our beautiful coastal town.
My first session
I offer a free 20‑minute introductory chat, giving you the space to ask any questions you may have—whether about therapy in general, my approach, or how we might work together.
This initial conversation is designed to help you feel at ease and to get a sense of whether working together feels right for you.
There is absolutely no obligation to continue after this. If you decide that it feels like a good fit, we can then arrange your first full 50‑minute session.
