Availability

I currently have availability for new clients.

I offer in-person sessions on Tuesdays, Saturdays (morning and afternoon), and Fridays after 4 pm. I also work online, which sometimes offers a little more flexibility, though I usually see online clients on Thursdays.

You are very welcome to get in touch to ask about current availability or discuss what might work best.

About me and my therapy practice

I offer a grounded, warm, and deeply relational space where you can bring what feels painful, confusing, heavy, or difficult to name. I often work with people experiencing anxiety, neurodiversity, low mood, exhaustion, relationship difficulties, identity questions, and life transitions, as well as those who simply want to understand themselves more deeply.

My approach is integrative, mainly informed by person-centred, psychodynamic, and relational therapy. This means I pay attention to both present experience and the deeper patterns that may be shaping how you feel, relate, and experience life. I believe therapy grows through the unique relationship between therapist and client, and I aim to offer a space where you feel met with care, curiosity, and honesty.

I often work with people who find it hard to feel or express their emotions in an embodied way, who live with chronic exhaustion, or who are longing for more connected and authentic relationships. I also have a particular interest in supporting people around pregnancy, abortion, sexuality, and reproductive experiences.

Sessions are led by you, with space to explore whatever feels most important, while I remain actively alongside you in the process. Some sessions may focus on what is happening in your life right now, while others may gently explore past experiences, unconscious patterns, or parts of yourself that have been harder to understand or accept.

I do not believe you need to arrive in therapy with everything neatly explained. My hope is that therapy can become a place where you feel less alone with what you are carrying, and more able over time to connect with your feelings, your needs, and your own voice.

Practice description

I offer open-ended therapy for adults and young people aged 16+, in person in Edinburgh (EH6) and online. We usually begin with a free 15 to 20-minute phone or video consultation, where you can ask questions and get a sense of whether we might be a good fit. If you decide to continue, we will arrange a first full 50-minute session.

I usually recommend weekly therapy, as regular sessions can help create consistency and build a relationship, though I am also open to considering fortnightly sessions if that suits your needs. Sessions often take place at the same time each week or fortnight. At the start of therapy, we will think together about what brings you here, your background, and the practicalities of our work.

I work on an open-ended basis, without setting a fixed number of sessions in advance. We will review the work every six sessions, or sooner if needed, to reflect on how things are going and what feels most useful. When the time comes to end, we will approach that thoughtfully, too. My hope is to offer therapy that feels steady, collaborative and empowering.

My first session

Before our first session, I will usually send you a short intake form to complete. This gives me some initial background and helps me begin to understand what is bringing you to therapy.

The first session is charged at my usual rate and lasts 50 minutes. It offers a space for us to begin exploring what has brought you here, what support you are looking for, and whether working together feels like the right fit. I may ask some questions about your background and current circumstances, but there is also plenty of room for you to bring what feels most important.

If we choose to continue after this session, I will then send you my therapy contract and we can go through the practicalities of our work together, including confidentiality, boundaries, cancellations, and payment arrangements.
