About me and my therapy practice

I am a qualified person-centred counsellor and a registered member of the BACP. I work in a person-centred way which means that I place you, the client, at the heart of the therapeutic process. I believe that every individual has an innate capacity for healing and growth when offered the right conditions. I am able to work with a range of presenting issues such as anxiety and depression; loss of direction and life transitions; relationship or family difficulties; low self-esteem or self-criticism; substance dependency issues.

I am available for face to face and online sessions, Tuesday to Friday and offer some evening sessions.

Practice description

My role as a counsellor is to create a safe space where you feel genuinely heard, deeply understood and accepted without judgement. You may be feeling stuck in life and unable to move forward, being prone to self-criticism. You may be feeling anxious or overwhelmed. You may have relationship or family difficulties. You may be struggling with addiction and the impact it is having on your mental health. Whatever you bring to our sessions together, I will welcome you as you are. I will actively listen, empathise and support you to explore what you are experiencing, to help you understand who you really are.

I provide short, or long term therapy, depending on what you hope to achieve from your sessions. The sessions can either be held face to face or remotely via video or telephone sessions.

My first session

I appreciate it is daunting trying to find the right therapist to suit your individual needs and it is important that you feel comfortable with your therapist. I offer a free 15-minute video call to give you the opportunity to meet me, to explain how I work and for you to ask any questions about how I can support you. This allows us to decide if we wish to work together. If we are both happy to proceed with the therapy, I will book you in for your first appointment, at a time that is suitable for you.
