About me and my therapy practice
I am a qualified integrative therapist with years of experience with adults, children and young people in education settings and charity sector. I offer safe explorative space for a person to find their true self, experience emotional healing and start living a more authentic life. Though we all tend to seek therapy in the midst of personal crisis, therapy becomes a process of self-exploration. Healing comes along with it. Once we find our true self and embrace it with compassion and wisdom, we become stronger and more resilient to face any future challenges.
Feeling as a foreigner in every country, I have gone through a process of self-discovery myself. My Eastern European roots and an open world view allow me to connect with others who feel foreign in their skin but wish to belong. It is always a journey that counts.
Therapist is a companion on that journey. The sessions belong to you and will be a time for you to feel welcomed, supported, fully accepted and heard in the safe space where you will find your own truth. A lot will happen without conscious awareness. Session after session you will feel a slight shift in the way you see the world around you, and in the way the world responds to you. The closer you are to your True self, the easier it will get.
Life does not have to be a battle. It can be a journey of amazing discovery of what it is like to be unique, wonderful, irreplaceable you.
Practice description
I have been working with children and adults on a range of difficult feelings of rejection, isolation, bulling, anxiety, depression, self-harm and suicidal ideation, and very often reflect on the fact that we work together within the human state of being, valid and inevitable. How we get through it and who 'holds our hand' when we struggle becomes our life journey.
Every person is a unique and precious individual. And the work with each client becomes unique in a way of integration of different counselling skills and therapeutic approaches, based on recognising client’s needs and finding the new ways of being.
I use elements of art and play therapy to help clients express themselves via means of nonverbal communication. Many times, we all struggle to find the right words to describe what is happening on the inside, what we’ve been through, or what we saw. Words are not enough.
My first session
First session will be a welcoming introduction, establishing an agreement for future work, exploration of your expectations and goals. I would ask you to complete a short questionnaire allowing me to understand your medical history, current family situation and any difficulties you experience in order to plan for your most effective and unique therapeutic journey.
