About me and my therapy practice

I understand that beginning therapy can feel like a big step, and I aim to provide a warm, supportive, and non-judgemental space where you can feel heard and understood. I believe that each person’s experiences, relationships and life circumstances are unique, which is why I work collaboratively and tailor therapy to the individual rather than taking a “one size fits all” approach.

I am an integrative therapist, which means I draw on different therapeutic approaches depending on your needs. My work is grounded in humanistic values, with a strong focus on the therapeutic relationship, while also incorporating psychodynamic understanding and practical tools where helpful. Together, we may explore present difficulties as well as patterns from earlier experiences that may be influencing how you feel, relate to others, or experience yourself today.

I have experience working with adults presenting with a range of issues, including anxiety, low mood, self-esteem difficulties, relationship challenges, trauma, grief, identity concerns, and life transitions. I have worked within NHS and charity settings alongside private practice, supporting people with diverse experiences and backgrounds.

My aim is to create a space where you can explore thoughts and feelings at your own pace, develop greater self-understanding, and feel supported in creating meaningful change.

Practice description

I offer individual therapy for adults in a warm, confidential, and supportive environment where you can feel safe to explore whatever is bringing you to therapy. I work with a range of difficulties, including anxiety, depression, stress, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, grief and loss, trauma, identity concerns, emotional overwhelm, and life transitions.

As an integrative therapist, I recognise that there is no single approach that fits everyone. I work collaboratively and adapt therapy according to your needs, goals, and experiences. Sessions can provide a space to make sense of current challenges, explore patterns in relationships, understand the impact of earlier experiences, and develop greater self-awareness.

I offer both short-term and longer-term therapy depending on your needs. Sessions last 50 minutes and are usually held weekly to provide consistency and support. I work at a pace that feels comfortable for you and understand that beginning therapy can sometimes feel difficult or uncertain.

My aim is to provide a genuine and accepting space where you can feel heard, deepen your understanding of yourself, and create meaningful, lasting change.

My first session

Before beginning ongoing therapy, I offer a free initial consultation to discuss what has brought you to therapy, answer any questions you may have, and consider whether working together feels right for you. This is also an opportunity for you to get a sense of how I work and whether you feel comfortable moving forward.

Prior to our first session, I will ask you to complete a brief assessment form. This helps me understand your current circumstances, relevant background information, and what you hope to gain from therapy. There is no expectation to share everything immediately, and we will work at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

If we decide to work together, ongoing sessions are 50 minutes and usually take place weekly.
