About me and my therapy practice
Maybe you’ve been holding things together for a long time – or trying to – but something doesn’t feel right. You can’t always name it, but it’s there: the unease, the heaviness, the sense that something’s missing. Maybe you’re tired of playing a role and not knowing who you are underneath it all. Maybe you feel lost, disconnected or unsure how to share parts of yourself you’ve always kept hidden.
In our sessions, I’ll be there with you – not to analyse or interpret, but to meet you with care and thoughtful attention. My style is relational, collaborative and human. However our work unfolds, I’ll be alongside you – not as an expert on your life (you’re the only one who holds that title), but as someone fully present and paying close attention. We’ll work with whatever you’re carrying – in your own time and in your own way.
My work is rooted in humanistic therapy, with a strong influence from gestalt. I also draw on creative exploration, somatic awareness, ecotherapy and a firm commitment to inclusion and social justice.
I work with people navigating low self-worth, shame, grief and loss, feeling stuck, relationship difficulties and life transitions.
I am also committed to working with men, especially those who may be new to therapy or unsure whether it’s for them, and who are looking for a down-to-earth, non-judgemental space to talk.
And I support people who’ve learned to hide parts of themselves – the sides of them that might feel scared, sad, uncertain or hopeful – because of early experiences, cultural messages or identity pressures. Therapy with me can be a place to gently get to know those sides, and the roles you’ve had to play to keep them out of sight.
I offer a free 20-minute call if you’d like to explore working together.
Practice description
Our sessions are a space where you can show up just as you are – with no pressure to perform or have it all figured out. I’ll meet you with openness, curiosity and care, and we’ll take things at your pace.
No two sessions are the same. What we explore – and how we explore it – depends on where you are that day and what feels most alive or important for you to bring. Sometimes sessions can be quiet and reflective. Other times, the work can feel emotional or exposing – when it does we’ll go gently. And sometimes it can be light, playful, creative and even joyful. We follow what’s real for you – and that can shift, moment to moment, week to week.
My first session
Starting therapy can feel like a big step, so our first session will be about getting to know one another and seeing how it feels to sit together. You don’t need to prepare anything or know exactly what to say. There’s no pressure to tell your whole story all at once – we can start wherever feels right for you.
I’ll invite you to share a bit about what’s bringing you to therapy and what you’re hoping for. I’ll also explain how I work, answer any questions you might have, and check in together about whether we feel it’s a good fit. You’re very welcome to bring any concerns or hesitations into the room – there’s space for that too.
