About me and my therapy practice
I’m Jenny, a fully qualified person- centred counsellor passionate about helping people create lasting and meaningful change. I provide a confidential, non-judgemental space to help you explore your thoughts and emotions.
I offer face to face counselling from my private therapy room, which is located in Churchtown, Southport. I also offer online counselling, giving you the flexibility to choose the option that feels right for you. I work with both adults and children, tailoring sessions to meet individual needs.
Reaching out for therapy can feel like a big step. You may be unsure where to begin or who to talk to. Finding the right person, someone who feels genuine, warm and understanding can make all the difference.
Practice description
Adult Counselling
I am a qualified Person Centred and Cognitive Behavioural Therapist. These approaches can be delivered separately or integrated.
Person centred therapy is a type of talking therapy that empowers clients to find their own solutions, develop self-awareness, increase self-esteem and self-acceptance. We can often feel like we don’t have a choice in life, giving you sense of being out of control. Person Centred counselling gives you autonomy, empowering you to take control of your own life and make the best choices for you.
Through Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), I support people to recognise and explore unhelpful thought patterns and develop practical strategies to manage stress, anxiety, depression, and other emotional challenges. CBT can help people understand the connection between their thoughts, feelings and behaviours, enabling them to make meaningful changes and build greater resilience and emotional wellbeing.
Children and Young People
For children, I draw on person-centred therapy, CBT and therapeutic play. I use a creative and flexible approach that supports the child to express themselves and make sense of their feelings and experiences in a way that feels safe and appropriate to their stage of development. Through play, art and other creative approaches, children can explore and understand their emotions, develop healthy coping strategies, and build confidence in their ability to navigate life’s challenges.

Ways to begin
Once you feel ready to take the next step, you’re welcome to get in touch using the contact form or via text. I’ll respond as soon as I can and we can arrange a 15-minute introductory telephone call to see if working together feels right for you.
This is an opportunity for you to tell me a little about yourself and the issues you’d like to explore. There is no charge for this call and there’s no pressure - just an open, relaxed conversation to help you decide what you need. It takes courage to seek counselling, and it is important that you feel that you have made the right choice and that I am the right person for you.
