About me and my therapy practice

I am an Integrative Psychotherapist and Counsellor offering a calm, thoughtful and non-judgemental space for individuals and couples who may appear to be coping on the outside, but internally feel overwhelmed, stuck or emotionally exhausted.

Many of the clients I work with are high functioning in their daily lives, managing careers, relationships and responsibilities, yet struggling with anxiety, overthinking, emotional disconnection or recurring patterns in relationships. You may find yourself questioning your worth, feeling “not enough”, or caught in cycles that you cannot seem to shift, despite trying to make sense of them.

My work is trauma informed and culturally sensitive, shaped by over 20 years of experience working within diverse communities. I recognise how early experiences, attachment patterns and cultural or generational expectations can quietly shape how you relate to yourself and others. Together, we work to gently uncover and understand these patterns with curiosity and compassion.

As an integrative therapist, I draw from approaches including EMDR, CBT, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Transactional Analysis and attachment based work. This allows me to adapt therapy to you, rather than expecting you to fit into a fixed model. Alongside deeper therapeutic exploration, I also support you in developing practical ways to manage anxiety, regulate emotions and feel more grounded in your day to day life.

I place strong importance on the therapeutic relationship. Feeling safe, understood and able to be fully yourself is central to meaningful change. Therapy with me is collaborative and paced carefully, allowing space for both insight and emotional processing.

I offer an initial consultation to help us explore what you are looking for and whether we feel like the right fit. From there, we can agree a way of working that supports both your immediate needs and longer term healing.

Practice description

My practice offers a calm, consistent and confidential space where you can step away from the demands of everyday life and begin to focus on yourself. Sessions are paced carefully, allowing you time to think, reflect and process without feeling rushed or overwhelmed.

Clients often come to therapy feeling mentally busy or emotionally drained, unsure why certain thoughts, reactions or relationship patterns keep repeating. In our work together, we gently slow this down. Rather than trying to “fix” everything at once, we begin by making sense of what is happening for you and understanding it in a way that feels clear and manageable.

Sessions are collaborative and guided by your needs. Some may feel more reflective, helping you gain insight and clarity, while others may be more focused, supporting you with tools to manage anxiety, regulate emotions or navigate specific situations. This balance allows for both immediate support and deeper, longer term change.

I work in a way that is thoughtful and attuned, paying attention not just to what you are saying, but also to what may feel harder to put into words. Over time, this can help you feel more grounded, more in control and more connected to yourself.

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, especially if you are used to coping on your own. You do not need to have everything figured out before you begin. You are welcome to come exactly as you are.

I offer online sessions across the UK, along with limited face to face appointments in Birmingham. If you are considering therapy, you are welcome to get in touch for an initial consultation to see if this feels like the right space for you.

My first session

I offer a 15 minute initial consultation over the phone. This provides an opportunity for you to briefly share what has brought you to therapy, ask any questions you may have, and get a sense of whether this feels like the right fit for you.

If you decide to move forward, sessions are 60 minutes long. The first session is gently structured to help you feel at ease, with no pressure to share everything straight away. We will begin by exploring what feels most important for you, along with any current difficulties or patterns you would like support with.

I may ask some questions about your background, including relationships and significant life experiences, to help build a clearer understanding of your needs. This is always done sensitively and at a pace that feels manageable for you.

Sessions are collaborative and guided by you. Some may feel more reflective, helping you develop insight and understanding, while others may be more focused, supporting you with tools and strategies. Towards the end of each session, we allow time to gently reflect and begin to wrap up, helping you leave feeling more grounded and contained.

There is no expectation to commit beyond what feels right for you. If you choose to continue, we can agree a regular session time and a way of working that supports both your immediate needs and longer term goals.
