About me and my therapy practice
Sometimes, when our thoughts seem too loud, our feelings too powerful, we need to stop and pay attention. It's true – we see life not as it really is, but as we are.
You might be struggling with anxiety or depression, feel stuck in the past or fearful of an unknown future. Perhaps something is keeping you from engaging more fully with life and the people you love. Maybe you just don't quite feel yourself. I offer a safe and accepting space where you can come to know yourself better.
As a qualified psychotherapeutic counsellor and registered member of both BACP and UKCP, I work relationally from a foundation in Transactional Analysis (TA). Together, we can explore what's weighing you down – the thoughts, feelings and behaviours that may be interfering with your work, relationships and wellbeing.
As we connect and build trust, sharing your experiences can bring huge relief. Working at your pace, we'll gently explore what's happening and what meaning can be made, so you can move forward with greater awareness, confidence and self-compassion.
As a TA relational practitioner, I adopt a collaborative approach which places your relationships – both with me and with others – at the heart of your personal growth. TA provides a powerful lens for understanding how the past shapes the present, why certain things keep happening, and a framework for moving forward with more autonomy and self-awareness.
I studied the wisdom, tools and practice of meditation with Vikas Malkani while living in Southeast Asia, and when it feels right, I bring embodied approaches into my work too – mindfulness, mindful movement, breathwork – because real, lasting change tends to involve both the thinking mind and the body.
Practice description
I have experience in both charity and private settings, working with a diverse range of clients, including neurodivergent clients, those living with PTSD in response to trauma, depression, anxiety, bereavement, OCD, substance dependency, and adverse childhood experiences, among many other presentations.
Having lived and worked abroad, in the US, Russia, Europe and Southeast Asia, I bring an international perspective to my practice and a particular interest in cultural identity and belonging.
Working with Couples
Whether you're feeling distant from each other, stuck in the same argument, or navigating a bigger life change, I offer a non-judgemental space to explore what's really going on between you. The goal is to rebuild intimacy and trust and develop the communication skills to navigate conflict effectively. I hold an appropriately challenging space – one that supports real awareness and change, with care and respect. I have advanced training in relationship and couples work and hold a certificate in Couples/Relationship Therapy.
Boarding School Survivors
If you were sent to boarding school as a child, the early separation from home can leave a lasting mark – often hidden behind a self-sufficient exterior that served you well growing up but can make real vulnerability and closeness harder as an adult. This can show up later in life as difficulty forming or sustaining intimate relationships, low mood or feeling disconnected from your own feelings. I have a particular interest in working with individuals and couples affected by this experience, and supporting the insight, self-compassion and connection that can come from finally exploring it.
I am in the final stages of Master's level (MSc) Advanced Psychotherapy training at Metanoia Institute, London.
I am dedicated to ethical practice and welcome clients from all backgrounds, genders and sexual orientations. Each person is unique and deserves respect and dignity. I receive regular supervision from a qualified supervisor.
My first session
We start with a free, confidential 20-minute call, so you can get a feel for how I work and whether it feels like a good fit – no commitment either way. If we go ahead, our first full session is 50 minutes, where we'll explore what's brought you to therapy and what you're hoping for. There's no pressure to decide anything on the spot.
