About me and my therapy practice
You may be feeling overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, disconnected from yourself, or stuck in patterns that no longer feel helpful. Perhaps you’ve been coping alone for a long time, carrying too much for too long, or struggling with a sense that something just doesn’t feel quite right.
Through somatic awareness, I help people who are highly self-aware but feeling stuck get back in tune with their body, and feel their emotions to understand the deeper meanings.
My work is grounded in empathy, collaboration and authenticity, and I aim to create a calm, supportive environment where you feel safe to explore things at your own pace.
Therapy with me offers a space where you can slow down, feel heard without judgement, and begin to understand yourself more deeply. I help people to feel heard, seen and understood on a deeper level. My ultimate goal is to help you realise your potential and thrive.
Practice description
As a holistic practitioner, I consider the connection between mind, body, and emotional wellbeing. Alongside talking therapy, we may also explore how stress, trauma, or life experiences are held in the body, and working with grounding, breathwork or somatic awareness techniques to support emotional regulation and resilience.
I work collaboratively, meaning we will regularly review our sessions together to ensure the therapy feels helpful and aligned with what you want to achieve. Everyone is different and often we will explore a range of interventions which over time will give a sense of what best works for you.
You are always free to choose what you bring to sessions and how deeply you wish to explore particular issues. My role is not to give advice or tell you what to do, but to support you in gaining insight, building self-awareness, and developing your own internal resources for change.
If at any point something does not feel right, I encourage you to share this so we can reflect on it together. Open communication is an important part of the therapeutic relationship.
My first session
After our first contact, I offer a free discovery call. This provides an opportunity for us to meet, explore whether we feel like a good fit, and for you to briefly share what has brought you to consider counselling. If you choose to proceed, I will then send you some further information, and we will book in a session at a time and day that suits you.
Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and explore what has brought you to therapy. It’s also a chance for you to get a sense of how therapy works. There is no requirement to arrive with a clear agenda or to know exactly what you want to focus on. We will talk through what’s going on for you at the moment - you do not need to have everything figured out before you start therapy.
I may ask some gentle questions to help me understand your needs and how best to support you, but there is no formal assessment and nothing you need to prepare in advance.
You are also welcome to ask questions about therapy, my approach, or what working together might look like and to use the session to get a sense of whether this feels like the right fit for you.
There is no pressure to explore anything in depth before you are ready. It's important to go at your own pace; I want you to feel fully informed and comfortable before deciding whether to continue.
