About me and my therapy practice

I offer a warm, confidential, and non-judgemental space where you can talk openly about whatever is going on for you.

I’m a counsellor and currently completing my MSc in Integrative Psychotherapy. I am also a registered nurse and health visitor which brings a broad and compassionate understanding of both mental and physical wellbeing into my therapeutic work.

I work with a diverse range of clients and tailor therapy to your individual needs. My goal is always to help you understand yourself and find ways forward that feel right for you.

I have a particular interest and experience in women’s health, including maternal mental health and the emotional and psychological impact of peri and postmenopausal change. Alongside this, my nursing background enables me to offer support with a wide range of life experiences, including anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction and relationship difficulties.

Taking the step to seek therapy can feel daunting. You don’t need to have everything figured out before you begin - therapy is a space to explore, reflect and move at your own pace.

Practice description

People come to therapy for many different reasons. You may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, anxious, or simply aware that something doesn’t feel quite right. You don’t need to be in crisis to benefit from therapy, sometimes it’s about having space to pause, reflect, and be heard.

I offer counselling and psychotherapy to support you with a wide range of emotional and life challenges, including:

Anxiety, stress, and feeling overwhelmed

Low mood and depression

Trauma and difficult life experiences

Relationship and family difficulties

Addiction and unhealthy coping patterns

Life transitions and identity changes

Women’s health–related challenges, including maternal mental health and peri and postmenopausal experiences

Neurodiversity

My approach is collaborative and integrative, meaning I adapt the way we work to suit you as an individual. Therapy is not about giving advice or telling you what to do, but about helping you better understand yourself, your patterns, and your emotional responses, so you can make choices that feel right for you.

I aim to create a safe, supportive, and non-judgemental space where you can talk openly, explore difficult feelings, and develop greater self-awareness, resilience, and self-compassion.

My first session

When you reach out, we’ll arrange an initial phone call where I’ll carry out a brief assessment to help me understand how I can best support you.

The first session is a chance for us to explore what brought you to counselling, what you’re hoping to achieve, and how we might work together. It’s also an opportunity for you to get a feel for my approach and see if it feels like a good fit for you. A strong therapeutic relationship is essential for effective therapy, and it’s important that you feel comfortable, safe, and able to speak openly.

I’ll ask questions about your current circumstances, your background, your relationships, and any previous therapy experience, all to build a clearer picture. We’ll go at your pace, and you can share as much or as little as you feel comfortable with.

At the end of the session, we can discuss whether continuing our work together feels right. If I feel that another form of support might better meet your needs, I’ll talk with you about this and, when possible, guide you to alternatives.
