About me and my therapy practice

I am a qualified integrative therapist with a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling, and a degree in Psychology (BSc). I am a registered member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy) and adhere to their ethics and guidelines.

I have worked with a range of clients and issues, including neurodivergence, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, bereavement, identity issues, family issues and domestic abuse. I have previously practised at a charity who specialised in therapy for women and ethnic minorities.

I am particularly attuned to working with neurodivergent clients, offering a space where you don’t have to mask or over explain yourself. You may feel overwhelmed, emotionally drained, or misunderstood, and we can work gently at your own pace to make sense of these experiences. I also hold an awareness of the impact of chronic illness, including how it can affect identity, energy, and daily life, and I aim to offer a steady, compassionate space that respects your capacity from session to session.

Or perhaps you’ve been feeling disconnected from yourself and uncertain of who you are currently, maybe you’re going through a major life transition or perhaps you feel things from the past haven’t been dealt with properly. Together we can untangle each difficulty and slowly process these feelings and experiences together.

I value and acknowledge the importance of cultural awareness and sensitivity in therapy, inviting clients to celebrate and acknowledge their diversity with me in whichever way feels comfortable.

Practice description

My integrative approach combines both psychodynamic and person-centred therapy, supporting you to explore your past experiences while staying connected to how you feel in the present. I recognise that our past can shape how we see ourselves and that parts of us can become hidden or difficult to access, often through shame or feeling overwhelmed.

Together, we can gently explore these different parts of yourself, in a calm, trusting and confidential space, moving at a pace that feels right for you.

I believe therapy should feel human and accepting- a place where you can be yourself without judgement. I work collaboratively, tailoring each session to your individual needs.

My first session

I offer a free 15 minute consultation phone call where we can talk about what brings you to therapy, what you're looking for and how I work. This is a chance for us to see if we feel like a good fit. We can then arrange a first session.

In our first session, we'll explore your reasons for coming to therapy in more detail, any past therapy experiences you may have or what you're hoping for if this is your first time. I may ask some questions to better understand you, your background and your needs.

If you'd like to continue, we can arrange a regular day and time for ongoing sessions. I also offer check-ins along the way to make sure therapy is meeting your needs and to adjust our work if needed.
