Availability

I currently have availability for new clients and operate a waiting list when my practice becomes full. I manage my diary carefully so any wait is generally no longer than three to four weeks.

At present, I have no planned time away from practice.

I currently offer sessions online or in person from the Practice Rooms in Summertown, Oxford. Appointments are available on Monday and Tuesday mornings between 9am and 1pm.

If you have any questions or would like to find out more, please feel free to get in touch — I will be happy to hear from you.

About me and my therapy practice

Hi, I’m Celia — it’s really nice to meet you.

I know life can feel overwhelming at times. You might feel disconnected from yourself or others, or uncertain about what's next for you. Counselling can offer a space to pause, reflect, and begin to find clarity again.

Beginning counselling can feel like a big and daunting step. Whether you’re experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, grief, or a general sense of being stuck, I offer a warm, compassionate, and confidential space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings without judgement.

Counselling can help you gain new insights, build resilience, and develop practical tools for meaningful, lasting change. My role is to support you in reconnecting with your strengths and inner wisdom, to create a life that feels more aligned and fulfilling.

I am integratively trained in Person-Centred Therapy, Transactional Analysis, and Gestalt Therapy. This means I tailor our sessions to suit your individual needs and help you better understand yourself, your relationships, and your patterns. My approach integrates evidence-based techniques with genuine empathy and respect for your story.

Whether you’re looking for short-term support or deeper therapeutic work, you don’t have to navigate things alone. I’m here to walk alongside you in a way that feels safe, supportive, and respectful.

When you’re ready, perhaps you may want to take the first step toward positive change, by booking a free 20-minute confidential discovery call with me. This is a chance for you to share what’s bringing you to therapy and ask any questions you may have about starting counselling. It’s also an opportunity for us to connect and get a sense of whether working together feels comfortable and supportive for you.

“Sometimes the smallest step in the right direction ends up being the biggest step of your life.”

— Naeem Callaway

Thank you for being here, and take good care,

Celia

Practice description

I currently offer counselling sessions online, in person. If you would prefer to work together in person, sessions take place at the Practice Rooms in Summertown.

I can also offer walk-and-talk, depending on your preferences. If you are interested in walk-and-talk therapy, we can explore this further during our initial conversation.

At present, I offer sessions on Monday and Tuesday mornings, as well as Monday evenings.

Weekly sessions are generally recommended to support consistency and allow the therapeutic work to flow and develop more fully. However, I also understand that life does not always fit neatly into a fixed routine, so I aim to offer some flexibility where possible. Fortnightly sessions can also be arranged if this feels more manageable for you. This is subject to availability.

During our initial call, we can talk through the available options together and find an arrangement that feels workable and supportive for us both.

My first session

The first session is an opportunity for me to get to know you and understand what is bringing you to counselling at this time. While I do not carry out a formal assessment, I may ask some gentle questions to help me gain a better understanding of you, your story, and different aspects of your life, both past and present. This is simply to help me understand you more fully, and there is no expectation for you to go into anything before you feel ready.

Some people arrive knowing exactly what they would like to talk about, while others may feel unsure where to begin — both are completely okay. Together, we may begin to explore what you would like to gain from counselling and what support might feel most helpful for you.

There is no pressure to share anything you do not feel comfortable exploring. Our work together is guided by you, with space to move at your own pace and focus on what feels most important to you.

The first session may feel slightly more structured or directive than future sessions as we begin building a picture of what is going on for you and how we might work together.

During the first session, I will also check your understanding of my counselling contract, which I will have sent you before we meet. Particularly I need to be clear around confidentiality and its limits, so that we have a shared understanding of what to expect within our ongoing professional relationship.

Importantly, the first session is also an opportunity for you to get a sense of whether I feel like the right counsellor for you, and there is no obligation to continue after that session. My hope is that you will leave feeling heard, supported, and clearer about the best next steps for you.
