Availability
I am currently accepting new clients and offer appointments Monday to Sunday between 7:00am and 7:00pm, including daytime, evening, and weekend availability where possible.
I provide counselling and psychotherapy for children, young people, and adults, and I also welcome enquiries from Employment Assistance Programmes (EAPs), schools, organisations, and other professional services seeking therapeutic support.
I understand that beginning therapy can sometimes feel difficult to balance alongside work, education, family life, or other commitments, so I aim to offer a flexible and supportive approach to appointments wherever I can.
Sessions are available in-person (face-to-face), online, or via telephone, depending on your preferences and individual circumstances.
If you are unable to find a suitable appointment time, please feel welcome to get in touch, as alternative arrangements may sometimes be available depending on current availability.
If I need to take time away from practice, I aim to communicate this with clients as early as possible so that sessions can be planned collaboratively and any breaks in therapy feel supported and manageable.
At times when availability becomes limited, I may be able to offer a waiting list or discuss other suitable support options that may be helpful in the meantime.
If you would like to enquire about current availability or arrange an initial conversation before beginning therapy, you are very welcome to get in touch.
About me and my therapy practice
I am an Integrative Psychotherapist offering individual counselling and psychotherapy for children, young people, and adults experiencing anxiety, bereavement, PTSD, stress, low mood, self-esteem difficulties, identity exploration, and relationship challenges.
I offer a warm, confidential, and non-judgemental therapeutic space where you can explore what is happening in your life at your own pace. I understand that starting therapy can feel daunting, especially when things already feel overwhelming, and I aim to offer a steady, supportive relationship where you feel heard and understood. Having sat in the client’s chair myself, I have deep respect for the courage it takes to begin therapy and value a collaborative, human approach.
My practice is integrative, drawing on Person-Centred Therapy, CBT, Gestalt Therapy, and Transactional Analysis, allowing me to tailor therapy to each individual rather than using a single fixed approach.
Alongside private practice, I have experience working in Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) school settings as a Therapeutic Support Practitioner, supporting children and young people with emotional, behavioural, and psychological needs, including emotional regulation and coping strategies.
I also have experience supporting individuals with substance use difficulties and dual diagnosis presentations, working alongside the NHS, probation, and community mental health teams.
I offer therapy through Employment Assistance Programmes (EAPs) and organisations supporting workplace stress, burnout, anxiety, and wellbeing.
My work is trauma-informed and relational, focusing on trust, emotional safety, and collaboration. Therapy can be a space to slow down, reflect, and develop emotional resilience and self-understanding.
I also offer inclusive therapy for LGBTQ+ clients and work sensitively with cross-cultural, identity, and neurodiversity-informed experiences.
If you feel I may be the right therapist for you, you are welcome to get in touch.
Practice description
Beginning therapy can feel like an important and vulnerable step, and my intention is to make this process feel steady, supportive, and accessible from the outset.
I offer a calm, confidential, and respectful space where you can speak openly. Therapy is a collaborative relationship, and we work together to explore your experiences, make sense of thoughts and emotions, and move towards changes that feel realistic and meaningful at your own pace.
When appropriate, I support you in building practical coping strategies to manage emotional difficulties, increase resilience, and develop a stronger sense of balance over time.
I provide both online and face-to-face sessions in Shropshire, offering flexibility so that therapy fits your day-to-day life. Online sessions allow you to access support from a private and familiar environment anywhere in the UK.
Sessions are 50 minutes long and typically weekly, though this can be adapted depending on your needs.
Before starting ongoing work, I offer a free 30-minute initial consultation. This gives us a chance to talk briefly about what has led you to therapy, what you hope for, and whether working together feels like a good fit. It is also an opportunity to ask questions.
I recognise that reaching out can feel uncertain. There is no expectation to share everything immediately; sessions are guided at your own pace.
Early sessions focus on understanding your current experiences. Some people arrive with clear goals, while others simply feel things are difficult or out of balance; both are equally valid starting points.
I do not require extensive assessments or paperwork before we begin. Instead, I prioritise developing a grounded, supportive therapeutic relationship where you can feel safe enough to explore what you need.
My first session
Your first session is offered at the same standard rate as ongoing sessions and is designed as a gentle, supportive starting point rather than a formal or structured assessment process.
This initial counselling session is an opportunity for us to begin getting to know one another and to explore what has brought you to therapy. The first session is often used as a space to begin talking through what has brought you to therapy, at a pace that feels comfortable for you, without any pressure to share more than feels right.
We can begin to think together about what feels most important right now, what you are hoping for from therapy, and whether my approach as an integrative psychotherapist feels like a good fit for your needs.
I do not require clients to complete lengthy pre-session forms or structured assessments before starting counselling or psychotherapy. Instead, I focus on creating a calm, relational space where you can begin to speak freely and feel heard.
Some people use the first session to explore anxiety, grief, trauma, low mood, or relationship difficulties in depth, while others prefer to take things more slowly and get a sense of what therapy feels like — both are completely welcome.
This first counselling session also gives you space to ask questions about how I work, including integrative therapy, online counselling, or face-to-face therapy in Shropshire, and what ongoing sessions might look like.
By the end of the session, we can reflect together on whether you would like to continue with therapy, with no pressure or obligation either way.
