About me and my therapy practice
Life can feel overwhelming, as can finding a therapist;) I work with a range of circumstances including, low mood, self-esteem, loss, bereavement, cancer, loneliness, it may be that you're struggling to navigate some life changes or grieving the loss of what you thought your life would look like or trying to find a new normal following a cancer diagnosis. Whatever it maybe I'm here to help support you.
I believe that a trusting and genuine relationship is the foundation for meaningful change. My focus is to create a safe, supportive space where you feel truly heard and accepted. Building that trust allows us to explore your experiences openly at your pace. I bring genuine care, empathy and acceptance to every session and a commitment to help you to understand your challenges and support you in moving toward greater wellbeing and self-understanding.
We can start with a free chat, I would be happy to answer any questions you have or to book a session please get in touch.
Practice description
I work in a person-centred way, I believe you are the expert on your own life and know yourself better than anyone else. Together we can explore what feels right for you and how you want to move forward. I can offer you warmth, understanding, and support as you gain clarity, build confidence and move toward the life you want to live.
My first session
During our first session we can get to know eachother a little and learn about the difficulties you are experiencing, there's no pressure to 'tell all' we go at your pace, understanding it may take time to be able to share feelings and emotions. I will just be alongside you offering kindness and support. It's also an opportunity for you to ask questions and see how we could work together, if you feel we are a good fit.
The first session also allows for certain practicalities such as talking through the working agreement, discussing confidentiality and boundaries, session times and payment terms.
