About me and my therapy practice
I am an integrative psychotherapist based in Central London, offering open-ended therapy both online and in person in Marylebone and the City of London. I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and am currently completing an MA in Psychotherapy and Counselling.
I have a number of years of experience supporting people and working with a wide range of mental health difficulties, grounded within a long-standing passion for understanding the mind and emotional wellbeing.
Beginning therapy is a deeply personal step. You may wish to focus on a specific issue, or you may feel drawn to explore yourself, your relationships, and recurring patterns more broadly. Together, we can create a space to reflect on the thoughts, feelings, and experiences that may be holding you back, helping you to develop greater understanding, resilience and self-awareness.
Practice description
Integrative psychotherapists are trained in bringing together multiple styles of psychotherapy. This will differ for each individual, it is not one size fits all.
My style leans towards psychodynamic, examining how the past may serve as a model for the present. I believe that the subconscious is a large part of our behaviour, feelings and thoughts. Together we will explore this, with the goal to deepen understanding and clarity.
Above all, I believe in the relationship between a therapist and client being the foundation of the work. Building a foundation of mutual trust and understanding while working together.
Our work will be collaborative, and relational. It is my goal to create a safe and supportive environment in which you can reflect and gain insight, free from judgement.
My first session
I will ask some brief questions about your reasons for coming to therapy as well as seeing if we are a good fit together. After an initial 15 minute consultation, we will have our first session. I will ask about what has brought you to therapy and what you would like to get out of our sessions. During this, we will discuss family history, past life events and early years.
We will also go through our contract for therapy together.
