About me and my therapy practice

I am a registered counsellor offering a warm, respectful and supportive space where you can explore what is happening for you at your own pace. I understand that coming to counselling can feel like a big step, and I aim to offer a relationship where you feel heard, accepted and able to speak openly without judgement.


My core training is in Gestalt counselling, which means I am interested in your present-moment experience, self-awareness, relationships, patterns, emotions and the ways you make sense of yourself and your world. I also draw on CBT-informed approaches where helpful, supporting you to notice links between thoughts, feelings, behaviours and coping strategies. This allows us to work both relationally and practically, depending on what feels most useful for you.


Practice description

My aim is to provide a safe, compassionate and non-judgemental space where you feel heard and supported. Together, we can explore what has shaped your experience, what may feel stuck, and what might help you move towards greater clarity, confidence and self-acceptance.


My approach is collaborative and compassionate. I will not tell you who to be or what choices to make, but I will support you to build awareness, explore different perspectives and develop a deeper understanding of yourself. Together, we can look at what has shaped you, what may no longer be serving you, and what might help you move towards greater clarity, confidence and self-acceptance.

My first session

Your first session is a chance for us to meet , discuss what has brought you to counselling , and explore what you may be hoping for from therapy. I will explain how counselling works including confidentiality and boundaries and you will have the opportunity to ask me any questions you may have.

I may also ask you some gentle assessment questions to support my understanding of your needs. There will be no pressure to share everything straight away.

Your first session will be at a reduced rate and is an opportunity for you to decide if you will feel comfortable working with me.
