About me and my therapy practice
I am a fully qualified psychotherapist offering sessions both online and in person, in East London.
I work with clients from all walks of life, struggling with a whole range of issues including, but not limited to: depression, anxiety, loss, bereavement, abuse (physical, sexual, emotional, verbal), trauma, family issues, health related issues, self-esteem, sexual identity, gender identity. I have specialist experience working with substance use and addiction as well as LQBT+ issues, including chemsex and gender and sexual identity issues.
My main therapeutic approach is Existential Psychotherapy although my training has been integrative which means I am able to incorporate Psychodynamic therapy, including attachment theory as well as Person-centred and Humanistic approaches.
Before training as a psychotherapist, I worked as a Registered Nurse for both the NHS and the charity sector, specialising in substance misuse and addictions. I have also worked in voluntary services specialising in LGBTQ+ mental health.
I hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychotherapy and Counselling from Regent’s University and I am completing Master’s degree in Existential Psychotherapy also at Regent’s University. I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and I adhere to their Ethical Framework.
Practice description
Psychotherapy offers a confidential space where you can take time to explore different aspects of yourself, your relationships, and your life more deeply. Through collaborative reflection, we can develop greater understanding and new perspectives, opening up the possibility for meaningful change.
Starting therapy can feel daunting. I believe the foundation of effective therapy is a strong, trusting relationship, one in which you feel safe enough to explore areas of life that may be difficult or painful.
I work with people experiencing a range of issues, including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, loss and grief, relationship difficulties, trauma, sexual and gender identity, and addiction. I offer both short-term work (6–12 weeks) and longer-term, open-ended therapy. Together, we can tailor the work to suit your individual needs.
I work both in person in East London and online.
