About me and my therapy practice

I am a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist who offers a warm, collaborative, and solution-focused approach to therapy. I aim to create a supportive and non-judgemental space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to make meaningful changes in their lives.

My work is grounded in CBT principles while recognising that every person’s experiences, background, and goals are unique. I believe therapy works best when we work together to understand patterns of thoughts, emotions, behaviours, and life experiences that may be contributing to current difficulties.

I have experience working within educational settings and supporting individuals experiencing anxiety, low mood, stress, self-esteem difficulties, emotional overwhelm, relationship challenges, anger, and life transitions. I value building a strong therapeutic relationship and helping clients develop practical tools they can use both inside and outside of sessions.

I work in a compassionate, respectful, and client-centred way, helping clients move towards greater confidence, resilience, and emotional wellbeing.

Practice description

I provide CBT and solution-focused therapy tailored to the individual needs and goals of each client. Sessions are collaborative and structured, with a focus on understanding current difficulties and identifying practical strategies for change.

Depending on your needs, therapy may involve:

• Exploring thoughts, emotions, behaviours, and patterns

• Developing coping strategies and emotional regulation skills

• Working on self-esteem and confidence

• Managing anxiety, stress, anger, or low mood
• Setting realistic goals and building resilience

• Learning practical CBT techniques to use in daily life

I aim to work at a pace that feels safe and manageable for you. Therapy can be short-term and focused on specific goals, or longer-term where deeper exploration is needed.
I welcome clients from diverse backgrounds and aim to provide an inclusive, respectful, and supportive therapeutic environment.

My first session

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and explore what has brought you to therapy. We will discuss your current difficulties, any goals you may have, and what you hope to gain from therapy.

I will explain how I work, answer any questions you may have, and together we can begin to develop an understanding of the challenges you are facing. There is no pressure to share everything immediately, and we will work at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

The first session also helps us decide whether we feel we can work well together and how therapy can best support your needs moving forward.
