About me and my therapy practice

If you're reading this, you've already taken a brave step, whether this is your first time in therapy or you're finding your way back to it.

My name is Albane. Before being a therapist, I am above all a human being, and I know how much courage it takes to find the right person, and how much difference it makes when you do.

I am a CBT therapist with additional training in person-centred, functional analytic and acceptance commitment therapy, as well as a background in neuroscience (MSc in Brain and Mind Sciences UCL, MSc CBT Goldsmiths). I work with anxiety, depression, PTSD, OCD, stress, and complex trauma. I bring clinical training and evidence-based tools, but also genuine curiosity and warmth, and I tailor everything to you, because no two people are the same.

I grew up in France, lived in Brazil and Switzerland, and have been in the UK for ten years. I work in English and French and warmly welcome clients from international or multicultural backgrounds.

Whatever has brought you here, you don't have to go through it alone.

Practice description

In our sessions, we will work collaboratively: making sense of what's going on, exploring how your thoughts, emotions and behaviours connect, and working on whatever patterns or beliefs might be getting in the way. I won't rush you or judge you, and I will be honest with you, including when that means a gentle challenge.

My first session

The first session is free and lasts 50 minutes. It's a chance for us to meet, for you to share what's been bringing you to therapy, and for me to carry out an initial assessment. Just as importantly, it's an opportunity for you to get a sense of whether I feel like the right fit for you, that matters, and there's no pressure either way.

If we decide to work together, we'll talk through what that looks like and agree on next steps from there.
