Availability

I currently offer full-time counselling support with flexible appointment availability to meet individual client needs. Sessions are available during weekdays, evenings, and weekends where required.

I understand that flexibility can be important, particularly for clients balancing work, family, or personal commitments, so I aim to accommodate a range of appointment times wherever possible.

Alongside online and telephone sessions, I also offer home visits for clients who may feel more comfortable receiving support within their own environment or who may struggle to travel.

I also offer a free 15-minute consultation call, giving you the opportunity to ask questions, discuss your needs, and see whether counselling feels right for you before booking a session.

Please feel free to get in touch to discuss availability and find a suitable time that works for you.

About me and my therapy practice

I provide a warm, compassionate, and non-judgemental space where clients can feel safe to explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences at their own pace. I understand that reaching out for support can feel difficult, and I aim to build a trusting therapeutic relationship where you feel heard, respected, and supported throughout your journey.

I work integratively, meaning I tailor counselling to each client’s individual needs, drawing from a range of therapeutic approaches to provide personalised support. My work is trauma-informed, and I have experience supporting adults, young people, and children with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, bereavement, relationship difficulties, stress, emotional regulation, and the lasting impact of trauma and adverse childhood experiences (ACEs).

As part of the therapeutic process, I may explore how past experiences, early relationships, attachment styles, and life events can continue to impact thoughts, emotions, behaviours, and relationships in the present. I believe that understanding these patterns can help clients develop greater self-awareness, healing, and emotional resilience.

When working with children and young people, I understand that not everyone finds it easy to express themselves through words alone. I therefore use creative approaches where appropriate.

I believe therapy should be flexible and accessible. I offer face-to-face sessions, telephone counselling, online sessions, and home visits where appropriate. I currently work from both Cannock and Lichfield and am also willing to travel to support clients who may find it difficult to attend appointments.

I offer flexible appointment times, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate different lifestyles and commitments. I also provide a free 15-minute consultation call, allowing you the opportunity to discuss your needs, ask questions, and decide whether counselling feels right for you before beginning sessions.

Practice description

At Freedom Counselling, I provide a safe, supportive, and non-judgemental environment where clients can feel heard, understood, and valued. I understand that every person’s experiences are unique, which is why I tailor counselling to each individual’s needs, offering a personalised and compassionate approach to therapy.

I work with adults, young people, children, and members of the LGBTQ+ community, supporting clients with a range of difficulties including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, trauma, bereavement, stress, emotional regulation, relationship difficulties, and the impact of adverse childhood experiences (ACEs). My work is trauma-informed, and I recognise how past experiences, attachment styles, and early relationships can continue to affect emotional wellbeing, behaviours, and relationships later in life.

I work integratively, drawing from different therapeutic approaches to best support each client. When working with children and young people, I use creative approaches where appropriate, helping them express themselves in ways that feel safe, comfortable, and natural to them.

I offer face-to-face sessions, online counselling, telephone sessions, and home visits where appropriate. I currently work from Cannock and Lichfield and am also willing to travel to support accessibility for clients who may struggle to attend appointments or feel more comfortable within their own environment.

I offer flexible appointment times, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate work, family, and personal commitments. I also provide a free 15-minute consultation call, allowing clients the opportunity to ask questions, discuss their needs, and decide whether counselling feels right for them before beginning sessions.

My aim is to provide a warm and trusting therapeutic relationship where clients feel empowered to explore their experiences, build resilience, improve emotional wellbeing, and work towards positive and meaningful change.

My first session

The first counselling session is an opportunity for us to begin building a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship. During this session, we will explore what has brought you to counselling, your personal journey, and any past experiences that may be impacting your emotional wellbeing or current difficulties.

I understand that sharing personal experiences can feel overwhelming, so sessions are always approached at your pace within a supportive and non-judgemental environment.

As part of the initial session, clients will be asked to complete wellbeing score sheets and a counselling contract, which outlines confidentiality, boundaries, and how we will work together therapeutically. This also gives you the opportunity to ask any questions and discuss your goals or expectations for counselling.

The first session is designed to help us gain an understanding of your needs and determine how I can best support you moving forward.
