About me and my therapy practice
I am a UKCP registered Integrative Psychotherapist in my last year of training at Metanoia Institute in London.
I work within the ethical framework of the UKCP (UK Council of Psychotherapy), the leading organisation for psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors in the UK. As part of this, my work is supervised by an experienced UKCP/BACP-registered Integrative Psychotherapist.
As part of my training and whilst working in the charity sector and in private practice in Germany and the UK, I have gained valuable insights into the work with trauma, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, abuse and more. My 15-year career as a stockbroker at leading investment banks in London has given me a good understanding of stress levels involved in many corporate careers, and how these can impact our relationships and general health.
Practice description
I work with a variety of emotional and relational issues and welcome adults of all backgrounds. Some of my areas of focus are Loss, Trauma and Relational Trauma, Stress and Anxiety, Grief/Bereavement, Relationships, Abuse, Women's Health, Life Transitions, Depression. Therapy can be short or long term, online or face-to-face (with weekly, 50-minute sessions).
At the heart of therapeutic change is a trusting alliance between the therapist and client. I aim to offer a safe space for open exploration of an individual's difficulties and needs, and I bring a non-judgemental, sensitive, and relational approach to each client.
Integrative therapy uses elements from different schools of psychotherapy to tailor therapy to each individual's needs. My focus is on what you bring in a particular moment of your life. And in that moment, to meet you with compassion and relational depth, as well as a suitable theoretical framework. Within my integrative framework, I like to work in a psychodynamic manner, linking the client's present to their past and future. I believe early attachments in life are important to explore, which can enhance emotional wellbeing and relationships going forward.
My first session
Before scheduling a session, I offer a 15-minute complimentary online consultation which will provide you with an opportunity to ask any questions about the practice and assess if we feel it’s a good fit.
