I work with adults and offer both in-person and online counselling sessions. I also offer hybrid counselling - a combination of in-person and online sessions for those who need or prefer the flexibility of both.
I work flexible hours on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays, with some out-of-hours sessions available in mornings and evenings.
Please contact me to discuss times that would work best for you.

I work from a room in central Southampton (SO14), within easy reach of the station and local bus routes. Paid parking is available nearby.
A note re physical accessibility:
My counselling room is on the second floor of an older building and is only accessible by stairs – there is no lift access. I recognise this may make in-person sessions difficult or not possible for some people, and I’m working towards finding a more accessible space in the future.
About me and my therapy practice
If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck or unsure what you need, you don’t have to make sense of it on your own.
I’m Grace, a counsellor offering a calm, accepting space where you can show up exactly as you are. You can bring whatever’s happening, even if it feels messy or unclear, and we’ll look at it together at a pace that feels manageable. The focus is on what you’re experiencing, how it’s affecting you, and what might help you move forward in a way that feels right for you.
I welcome adults of all genders, sexualities, neurotypes, cultures and backgrounds. I’m committed to making counselling as accessible as possible, offering a space where you can explore things openly, even when the work feels challenging.
Many of the people I work with are neurodivergent, including those with ADHD and autism. I work flexibly, adapting my approach to different ways of thinking, communicating and processing so you can work in the way that suits you best.
Practice description
I'm a Gestalt counsellor, which means I pay close attention to what’s happening for you in the moment - the thoughts, feelings and reactions that show up as we talk, and the ones you notice in your life outside the counselling room. We might spend time talking about your past, especially if it helps make sense of what’s happening now. But we’ll keep bringing it back to what’s going on for you today, because this is where you can make changes and try out new ways of approaching things.
I work collaboratively and adapt to what each person needs. You choose what to bring to each session, and I'll meet you there. Sometimes I may offer gentle challenge if you feel stuck, but always with care and respect.
Curiosity and trying things out are part of how I work. We might look at a situation from different angles, experiment with new ways of thinking about it, or use creative tools like drawing or objects if that feels useful. Creative work is always optional - many people prefer to stick to talking. I also incorporate Humanistic and Transactional Analysis approaches when they support the work, though Gestalt is my main way of working.
I’m currently completing additional training in psychosexual therapy and will be able to offer support with sexual issues once I’ve been formally cleared, which I expect to be in the near future.
My first session
Choosing a counsellor is an important and sometimes difficult decision, which is why I offer your first session at a reduced rate of £45. This 50‑minute session gives us both space to explore what you’re hoping for from counselling and to get a sense of whether working together feels like a good fit. During this session we'll complete an assessment, where I'll ask some questions to help me understand your experience more fully. The assessment isn’t a test, it’s simply a structured way for me to understand what you’re experiencing and what support might be most helpful.
Before the session, I'll send over some pre-therapy paperwork, including my contract, which we'll go through at the start of our first meeting.
If you decide to continue, ongoing sessions (online or in-person) are 50 minutes and cost £60 per session.
I don't set any limits around the number of sessions you have. Some people just want a few sessions to focus on a particular issue, others are looking for longer term support, and some aren't sure how many sessions they'll need. I'm here to support you for as long as it feels helpful.
