I understand finding time for counselling can feel like another thing to fit into an already busy life, so I aim to offer you flexible appointment times, including weekends and evenings. I currently have limited availability. I  offer a free 15-minute telephone consultation to discuss what you are looking for from counselling and to answer your questions.

About me and my therapy practice

I am a fully qualified person-centred counsellor and a registered member of BACP.

Sometimes in life, things can feel overwhelming, confusing, or simply too much. You may find yourself constantly overthinking, putting everyone else first, struggling with your confidence or feeling that you have to cope on your own.

Perhaps life has left you feeling lost, stuck or unsure of what comes next. My role is not to tell you what to do next or give you all the answers.

As a person-centred counsellor, I believe you are the expert in your own life. I will offer you a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space where you can talk openly and at your own pace without having to pretend everything is okay.

I work with adults experiencing a range of difficulties, including anxiety, stress, low mood, loneliness, relationship difficulties, women's health, people-pleasing, grief and feeling not good enough. I understand that reaching out for counselling can feel scary, but you do not have to have all the answers before contacting me. Having a starting point may be all you need.

Practice description

My approach is warm, genuine, non-directive, and I will listen without judgement and explore what feels important to you. We can work together to help you begin to reconnect with yourself and find your way forward, understanding your experiences, feelings and needs.

My first session

Your first session is an opportunity for us to meet and find out more about what has brought you to counselling. You do not need to prepare anything; you can talk about what feels comfortable for you.

I will explain how I work, talk through the counselling contract with you, and what is expected in the sessions. You will have the opportunity to ask questions.

From this point, the rest of the session will be what you need and led by you. There is no pressure to tell me everything all at once.  I will not try to fix you but listen alongside you and offer a safe space for you to talk about what is important to you.
