Availability

I currently have some availability for new clients.

I offer sessions on weekdays, including daytime and some evening availability.

If I am due to take planned time off, this will be discussed in advance during our initial contact or sessions.

About me and my therapy practice

I specialise in working with addiction, relationship difficulties, intimacy issues, shame, and attachment wounds.

I work with people who feel stuck in patterns that are painful but hard to change.

This might include addiction or compulsive behaviours, difficulties in relationships, struggles with intimacy, or a persistent sense of shame or disconnection from yourself.

Some people I see feel caught in repeating relationship dynamics—such as choosing emotionally unavailable partners, losing themselves in relationships, or struggling to hold boundaries. Others are dealing with substance use, sexual behaviours they feel conflicted about, or ways of coping that no longer feel sustainable.

You might also feel more generally stuck or unsure—like you’re moving through life on autopilot, or that something needs to change but you don’t yet know how.

Whatever brings you, we can take time to understand what’s underneath these patterns and what has shaped them, at a pace that feels safe and manageable.

Practice description

I offer a steady, supportive space where we slow things down and begin to understand what’s actually going on, rather than just trying to push through it.

Often people come to me feeling stuck in patterns they already understand intellectually but can’t seem to shift. In our work, we gently explore what’s driving those patterns rather than trying to force change.

I work in a trauma-informed, person-centred way. I won’t tell you how you “should” be or try to fix you, but I will stay alongside you as we make sense of what’s been difficult. I draw on attachment theory, mindfulness, and somatic awareness, including paying attention to what is happening in the body as well as the mind.

Sessions are collaborative and at your pace. Some are more reflective and exploratory, others may involve noticing what’s happening in the present moment. Over time, the aim is to create more understanding, more choice, and a greater sense of connection to yourself and others.

My first session

Our first session is an opportunity to meet and see how it feels to work together. You don’t need to prepare anything in advance, and there’s no pressure to commit beyond that session.

We’ll talk about what’s bringing you to therapy and what you’re hoping for, as well as anything you feel is important for me to know about you. There’s also space to ask any questions you might have about how I work.

I may ask some gentle background questions to help me understand your situation, but the focus is mainly on getting a sense of what you need and whether working together feels like a good fit.

The first session is charged at my standard fee. There is no formal assessment process.

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, especially if you’ve been carrying things on your own for a long time. My aim is that you leave the session with a clearer sense of whether this feels like the right space for you, and whether you feel comfortable continuing.

If it doesn’t feel like the right fit, I will usually suggest other options where appropriate.
