About me and my therapy practice

I offer integrative psychotherapy for adults experiencing anxiety, emotional overwhelm, relationship difficulties, ADHD, burnout, low self-worth or a loss of meaning, direction, or connection amongst others.

My approach is relational, thoughtful, and grounded in the belief that clients often hold more understanding  and capacity within themselves than they may initially realise, and symptoms often carry meaning rather than simply needing to be “fixed”. Side by side we explore both present-day challenges and the deeper and sometimes hidden emotional patterns that sit underneath.

I work with people from a wide range of backgrounds and life stages. Some clients come with a clear issue or crisis they want support with, while others arrive with a more general feeling of disconnection, pressure, or internal conflict despite still coping well externally.

Over time, therapy can create meaningful change including greater self-awareness, resilience, clearer boundaries and decision making, improved relationships, increased energy and joy.

Before training as a parenting coach and psychotherapist, I worked as a lawyer and then spent time raising a family. These experiences have helped inform my understanding of stress, relationships, responsibility, ADHD, achievement, and the complexity of modern life.

I offer both short-term and open-ended therapy in Notting Hill, Maida Vale and online.

Practice description

I understand that beginning therapy can feel like a significant step, and can sometimes have some stigma attached. This can be particularly so if you are used to managing things alone or still functioning despite struggling internally. My aim is for you to feel in control and go at your speed while offering a space that feels thoughtful, collaborative, emotionally attuned, and free from judgement.

As an integrative psychotherapist, I draw from different therapeutic approaches depending on the needs of each individual. My work is informed by relational, psychodynamic, attachment-based, and transpersonal perspectives, while remaining grounded in everyday life.

We consider not only the symptoms or immediate difficulties, but also the underlying emotional patterns, relational dynamics, beliefs, and coping strategies that may have developed over time. Therapy can help bring greater awareness to these patterns and create the possibility for meaningful and lasting change.

Alongside talking therapy, I may sometimes incorporate creative or reflective approaches where helpful, particularly when feelings or experiences are difficult to articulate verbally.

I work with adults and young adults from a wide range of backgrounds, including professionals, parents, carers and young adults.

I offer therapy in Notting Hill, Maida Vale and online.

My first session

I offer a free initial 30 minute telephone consultation before arranging a first session. This is an opportunity for us to briefly discuss what has brought you to therapy, any questions you may have, and whether working together feels like the right fit.

The first full session then offers more space to begin exploring your experiences in greater depth and to think together about what you may be seeking from therapy. Some people arrive with a clear understanding of what they want to talk about, while others may feel unsure, overwhelmed or disconnected from where to begin. There is no expectation to have everything worked out beforehand and therapy can begin simply by starting where you are.

During the first session, we may explore current difficulties, important life experiences, relationship patterns, or areas of life that feel painful, stuck or unsustainable. I also welcome conversation about practicalities, boundaries and how we might work together.

Following the session, there is no obligation to continue. Some clients choose to take time to reflect before deciding whether they would like to work together longer term.
