About me and my therapy practice
My approach is integrative, which in practice means I draw on a range of methods rather than following a single script. The core of my work is relational, I care about the dynamic between us as much as anything you bring from outside the room. I also draw on psychodynamic thinking to help make sense of the patterns and experiences that shape how you feel today, and weave in mindfulness where it's useful.
Sessions are collaborative. We work at your pace, and I follow your lead on what feels most pressing. Some of that will be exploratory, making space to understand what is really going on beneath the surface. Some of it will be more practical, building tools and mindfulness exercises you can actually use in daily life.
I work with warmth and directness in equal measure. Clients often tell me they appreciate that sessions feel real, that there is genuine challenge as well as genuine care. I hold a space that is safe enough to say the things you haven't said out loud yet, but I won't just nod along. I believe real change comes from both feeling heard and being gently pushed.
I see clients in person in Notting Hill, London, and online across the UK. Sessions are 50 minutes, weekly, at £100.
Practice description
My practice is focused on reproductive and perinatal mental health, which covers a lot of ground that often goes unspoken.
I work with people navigating fertility challenges (IVF, IUI, recurrent loss, unexplained infertility), pregnancy and pregnancy loss, pregnancy anxiety, postnatal depression and rage, birth trauma, and the identity shifts that come with becoming a parent. I also support people through perimenopause and menopause, and the particular exhaustion of parenting and caring for others over the long term.
I work with clients across a wide range of backgrounds and family structures, including LGBTQ+ individuals, single parents, and those who have come to parenthood through donor conception, surrogacy, or other paths.
What draws me to this work is the specific kind of loneliness that tends to live inside it. Fertility struggles and pregnancy loss are so often carried quietly, held in check so as not to upset others or invite the wrong kind of reassurance. The postnatal period can be similarly isolating. Everyone wants to hear it is wonderful, which can leave the complicated truth with nowhere to go.
This is a space where the complicated truth is welcome. Nothing you feel is too much, too messy, or too contradictory to bring.
I see clients in person in Notting Hill, London, and online across the UK. Sessions are weekly, 50 minutes, at £100. Concession rates are available, please do ask.
My first session
The first session is an initial assessment, at my standard fee of £100. We use this time to explore what has brought you to therapy, what you are finding most difficult, and what you are hoping for. I will ask about your background and relevant history.
At the end of the session, we will talk about whether we seem like a good fit and what working together might look like. There is no obligation to continue. Some clients prefer short-term focused work; others find that longer-term therapy suits them better. We work that out together, at your pace.
If you have questions before booking, about how I work, what to expect, or whether I might be the right fit for what you are going through, please do get in touch. You are welcome to reach out before committing to anything.
You do not need to have a clear sense of what you need before you come. Most people do not. You just have to be willing to start.
