About me and my therapy practice
Hello, my name is Ortensia (she/her). I am a qualified psychotherapeutic counsellor and BACP Registered Member, and a psychotherapist in advanced clinical training, currently completing my MSc in Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy at the Metanoia Institute. I am also a UKCP Trainee Member.
I understand that reaching out for support is not always easy. I offer a warm, confidential and non-judgemental space where you can speak openly, feel heard and explore what matters to you.
There is no single reason to begin therapy. You may be feeling anxious, low, overwhelmed or stuck, experiencing difficulties in your relationships, navigating a significant life change, or simply wanting to understand yourself better. Whatever brings you to therapy, you are welcome.
My approach is relational, integrative and collaborative, drawing on Transactional Analysis. I see therapy as a partnership, where we work together at your own pace to explore how past experiences, beliefs and recurring patterns may influence the way you feel, think and relate to others. Developing a greater understanding of these patterns can help you find new perspectives and make choices that feel right for you.
I work with adults (18+) experiencing a range of difficulties, including anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, low self-esteem, burnout, workplace stress and life transitions. I also work with couples, supporting them in exploring communication difficulties, conflict, trust, emotional distance and important relationship decisions, while making space for both partners' experiences.
My practice is LGBTQ+ affirming and neurodiversity-affirming, including support for people with ADHD. I welcome people of all genders and from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds, valuing the different experiences and perspectives they bring to therapy. I aim to adapt our work to your individual needs and experiences.
Sessions are available in English and Italian.
